They did away with the loot-box system. And by that, I mean progression is in NO WAY based on loot-boxes anymore. You level up character classes as you play them, and loot-boxes, at least as far as I can tell, have no impact on gameplay. The game is extremely well executed, with gameplay feeling fun and intense. It is fast without being overly twitchy, with each round consisting of multiple different levels of progression, meaning the objective changes as you play. Kills feel satisfying. Losses are much less frustrating than they are in other games, and with a few different modes of gameplay conducted along a variety of interesting maps, I assure you that it has become a very worthwhile investment. I am one of the guys who was outraged by the innitial announcements about this game, but the bottom line is that their model has changed, not only in this game, but in Anthem, and other games coming down the pipeline. We spoke. They listened. Bearing this in mind, I would venture a guess that most of the one-star reviewers had an ax to grind (and rightfully so). It's a good game, though, much better than the game they announced. My advice is to pick this one up and have fun with it.

Man what can I say. Any star wars fan should get this game. You are literally immersed in the star wars universe. My favorite thing to do is to wear headphones because the sound design is mindblowing!

A lot better than the first one. Excellent graphics, runs great on my 8 year old pc and $600 notebook although both have decent video cards 7870 on pc and 960M on notebook. Not sure I get the whole pay to win, you play earn points and unlock crates, its fun. If you don't have the time to play 40 hrs a week you should be able to pay more and unlock things faster. Kids have lots of time to play and adults have a lot less time to play. Furthermore this version gives you downloadable content for free. The old version required buying an extra premium package for $49 more. I like it better than battlefield 1 but not as good as battlefield 4 or 3 and better than battlefront 1.

This game started out as great, but eventually it ends up becoming boring. The game is in a developer graveyard especially due to the loot boxes scandal. Updates are few and too staggered out, with little content as well. There is just not enough new weapons, vehciles, classes, planets, and heroes but they are coming in the future as we have already received General Grevious and Obi Wan Kenobi! Despite it's short comings the graphics are beautiful, and the game is fun overall. Watch the "Geonosis" trialer and you will see what I mean.

lost access after 5 years

We aren't a big gaming family, but everyone does enjoy this game. It is by far superior to Battlefront I, allowing for much more individual play--which was key for our family. We do not play with other players, just against the computer. We like the graphics, the interaction with game play, and much more. We do wish there were more maps and campaigns for single play, but perhaps as time goes on, more will be made available.

I would work on the directions to install to a computer for basic use. I had to find out for myself how to really install it. which didn't match the directions but it did install and works just fine. The only other thing it installed very slowly but that could be just my computer that I am using. I was happy with this purchase for the most part. Game plays just fine which at the end of the day that is all I care about.
