I have two systems with these inverters, one is pure off grid and the other is grid connected. I’ve never had to worry about how much power I’m using from the off grid system with the auto generator start functionality, and I have the grid connected system set up to shift loads for Time of Use billing. Since I’ve installed these inverters I’ve had zero time without power. Whole home battery backup with a way to minimize generator run time. That being said, these are not plug and play. They do require some knowledge of both DC and AC electrical work. Initial programming wasn’t hard for me, but I can see it being a bear for a lot of people.
