## Description

The Adesso AKB-425UB industrial-sized EasyTouch ™ keypad features an integrated Glidepoint® touch pad and a 1U compact design for standard industrial applications. This industrial keyboard is designed according to the EIA-RS-310C specification, which is one of the most standardized specifications for drawer mounting. This makes the AKB-425UB easily adapted to different mountings. In addition, it offers a flexible selection of large keyboards functions while meeting industrial environmental requirements.

Review: Great space saving keyboard - This is sold as a rackmount keyboard but it works great for home or office. The width is about an inch more than a "tenkeyless" keyboard, this one has the numpad and arrow keys. I don't use the touchpad so I can't say much about it except it does work. The typing feel is firm, with not much tactile feedback, but a solid soft thunk at the bottom of travel. It's a classic rubber dome keyboard like we all used in the 90s Edit: I'm not sure why I said in my original review that it doesn't have much tactile feedback. Maybe it needed to break in. I've since gone through several mechanical and rubber dome keyboards, and this is my favorite so I've gone back to it. It's not too firm, not too clacky, but with a nice positive feedback, and the keys don't wobble. Great for gaming and typing. I don't use the touchpad at all
Review: Solid typematic keyboard for touch typists - I bought this keyboard for use on a 17" Dell Inspiron 3000 notebook as a touch-type keyboard replacement for high speed typing. (I cannot type on those crummy thin chiclet keys w/no travel.) It works great. The size of the keyboard is just right for laying atop the original 17" Dell notepad keyboard. Flip open the support tabs underneath the keyboard to avoid pressing down on the original keys. The supplied touchpad means I don't need to add a mouse.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It does the job

I bought this keyboard to rehab a laptop that had become unusable for typing because of sticking keys. For this purpose, it works well. The size is roughly the same as my laptop keyboard, so there are no issues with a cramped mini-keyboard as is the case with similar products. Yes, the typing action is old school, but I quickly got used to it. The only complaint I have that justifies the loss of one star is the touchpad, which is not perfect but certainly functional, if a little oversensitive. Again I quickly made the needed adjustment to better navigate it. Also note that unlike most other similar products the touchpad is located where it should be, at the bottom of the keyboard not to the side, making it optimally convenient. Thus the slightly oversensitive touchpad for me is of minor importance given the fact that this easy to use, plug and play keyboard has made my expensive laptop usable again with only a $50 upgrade. For this purpose, I highly recommend it.
