Review: Large, tasty, high quality morel mushrooms - I love morel mushrooms, but at the supermarket near me they're 25 bucks for half an ounce— ouch! I tried buying them online once before through another website and they were full of worms (not live worms, but dried dead ones aren't much of an improvement). Naturally I was a little leery about trying again. These morels are fantastic! I have no idea what they will cost when you are ready to buy them, but I can say that if the price seems reasonable to you, you shouldn't hesitate because the quality was very high. The mushrooms I received were large, intact and worm free. I very carefully inspected the ones I've used so far prior to cooking and there weren't any signs that they had ever had worms or any kind of insect in them. They were delicious. I made fettuccini with morel mushrooms in a cream sauce and toasted pine nuts. They were so good my mouth is watering thinking of them now, and I could have them again later because I still have half the jar left over. Perfection!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many come in the jar?**
A: I can't remember but I rehydrated these and used the whole jar in an asparagus and morel sautée for an 8-person dinner party. I wouldn't say there were copious amounts of morels but it was enough to make it work.

**Q: Can I smoke these ?**
A: Once reconstituted, I don't see why not.

**Q: Do these still have spores? Any life left to propagate**
A: No. You have to purchase those separately.

**Q: This company sells morels in both 1 & 2 oz. jars.  The larger jar costs $20.40/ oz. while the smaller one costs $14.99/ oz.  Is there a reason why?**
A: Because one jar has 2oz. of mushrooms in it and the other one has 1oz. of mushrooms in it. It's a better deal to purchase the 2oz. jar.
