Ages 3+ years Review: A Favorite of My Son - My son is a lover all things Thomas, and that being the case, we've used these die cast trains as incentives for potty training (worked beautifully). Wooden trains were way to expensive and not portable enough for us, plus diecast can take a beating without too much damage. In particular, Peter Sam is a favorite of our son. Though he looks similar to many of the other trains in the collection, my son always knows instantly which one is Peter Sam even if I don't. He's a nice deep green, of sturdy construction, and is the perfect size for toddler hands. He's a nice addition to any child's collection, especially because he's also a nice character on the show. He drives just fine over the edge or our ottoman (our son's favorite pastime with cars and trains) and has held up to umpteen crashes with the floor.
