I went into this expecting to feel like I’d rubbed a stick of butter on my face and was about to spend the rest of the day looking shiny enough to flag down a helicopter. Surprisingly, nope. A little goes a long way, and once you warm it up between your fingers, it spreads really easily and starts sinking into the skin. Provides great, rich moisture without leaving you smelling like a dog's chew toy. The intial price tag seems a bit hefty, I personally waited for a sale, but I definitely recommend it. Smaller than I thought it would be, but lasts a long time since a small amount goes far. It does feel rich, because, well, it’s tallow. This isn’t water pretending to be moisturizer. But it doesn’t just sit there feeling like a greasy layer on top of my skin either. After giving it a little time, my skin feels moisturized and comfortable without that “why did I do this to myself?” feeling. Watch your clothing and fabrics, as the tallow can stain some things. The biggest tip is definitely to use less than you think you need. Seriously. You do not need to scoop out half the jar like you're preparing to frost a cake. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the absorption. Rich, moisturizing, and not nearly as greasy as I expected. Five stars. My face and I have reached a temporary truce.

Finally something that moisturizes without causing breakouts. It has a very light fragrance that doesn’t overwhelm. And it’s a great value for the money because a jar lasts a long time.
