Better and safer litter option that works great
Thus walnut litter is nit perfect, but itโs safer and healthier than clay and gel crystals. My cats have serious allergies and need something safer so this litter does the trick. It definitely kicks up a ton of litter dust. It gets everywhere where the litter box is enclosed, even to the walls and baseboards around it. So be mindful of the dust. But itโs better than breathing in clay dust. It does track as well. I see trails of this litter everywhere but not as bad as clay. I donโt think thereโs anything truly dust free or track free. The reason I continue to buy this is because my cats allergies from the old clay is gone. They donโt sneeze after using the box anymore. The clumping isnโt like clay clumping however, it does clump well enough to not waste this litter too. As far as odor, I feel if they have a stinky poo you smell it monastery what you use. I do not smell pee at all though. Overall I recommend this after 10 years of nasty clay litters Price at the time of review 19.98 (on sale) normally 28.99

Best choice.
This is the only cat litter we use in our home. I am giving it 5 stars b/c the pro far out weight the cons. Pros: Odor control is amazing. We clean our cat boxes regularly but lets be honest life happens and sometimes it goes an extra day or so. There is no funky smell in the house. It clumps and holds. It's easy to scoop, and things don't break apart. It's organic and unscented. If you own cats you know they can be way more sensitive to certain smells and chemicals. This litter removes all that worry. And perfume doesn't mix well with cat urine. It's affordable. It lasts. With daily cleanings you get a lot of use. Cons: It can be dusty. It's cat litter though, I feel a degree of dust should be expected. It does not track or stain but it is very fine, so I feel it's easy for cats to kick out of the box. A litter mat and vacuum takes care of it. It's made from walnut shells, I would assume that could be an issue for people with severe allergies. For the value, ease of use, and non toxic qualities, I feel this is a very safe, clean and economical choice for cat owners.

Current Favorite Litter
We have had cats for almost 7 years now and have gone through many different litters. When we first got cats, we used Dr. Elsyโs which was great but it seemed like they changed their formula and it became dusty. We then switched around and tried many more before I found this brand on Tik Tok. It took a couple weeks to have my cats become familiar and used to this litter as the smell is way different than clay litter. So we had to mix it in until it our stainless steel litter box was fully converted with this litter. Some major pros is the ingredients and type of litter seem to be clean and non toxic for cats which is something super important to us pet owners. It clutters pretty well but one thing to keep in mind is that if you donโt change or replace it after a couple weeks, I seem to notice it doesnโt clump as well. It does pretty well at masking the smell, however keep in mind we do a wet food diet for our cats which also helps and I have a high quality air filter nearby. Here is how I would rate it: Price: 7.5/10 Quality: 9.0/10 Durability: 8.5/10 Overall, Iโd give it a solid 8.5/10. I get a big bag and it lasts me around 5-6 weeks for my two cats. I clean the litter once a day. Now that my cats are used to it, I donโt see me changing as long as the brand stays the same!

honest (no drama) review - I have two persian cats
Tracking: I adopted two cats and had no idea how much litter tracked. I have yet to find one that doesn't. I don't feel a zero tracking litter is even possible. I tried pine pellets, but one of my cats is declawed (by previous owner) and I found he was willing to use the other two boxes where I had a sawdust-type litter and this walnut litter. I noticed he preferred the walnut litter and stopped using the other two completely. Same goes for my second cat. The pine pellets were large and I'd find a few outside of the litter box but never found them in my bed. I've found that if I keep the bottom of my cats paws scissored (they have very long hairy paws) they track less. I can't get either of them to use a top entry box. That would definately help. This stuff tracks and tracks and tracks. I find it everywhere. But I've found that to be true with all other litters so I remind myself that this is safe for them, sustainable, and compostable so it will remain my first choice. Dust: I've used so many different litters over my lifetime. They are all dusty. All of them. I don't find it "covers" anything anymore than regular 'ol dust in my house. I give everything a quick swipe every couple of days in the bathroom and move on with my life. No dust drama. The reviews that describe staining...it's not staining - its dust. If you have a cat with white or light-colored paws you will see the earthy brown dust on their paws after they visit the loo. But they walk it off, rub it on your pillow, or clean it off themselves. Consider that it is a SAFE dust for them to consume and that is all you really need to know. My kitty with white paws has OCD so I only notice it occasionally to never. He hasn't ever been stained by the walnut litter. I do find this litter to be very dusty in one bag and then not so much in another. It's a natural product so that has to be expected. It wasn't created in a lab and won't be perfectly the same every time. Odor: My declawed kitty does not cover his poo so it's "smelly" with any litter I use. Scoop the poo right away people. Right away. Don't leave it in the box. Crack a window if you can. Problem solved. For the record my other cat covers her poo and it does a decent job. If your cats poo is that offensive then its the food or a GI issue and not the litter. Just sayin. As for the litter itself, it has an earthy scent that I actually kind of like and it is SAFE for my cats. As for urine odor, if it's extremely offensive then its diet or dehydration or both. Research this and make sure your cat's urine is what it should be and it won't smell. Easiest thing to do is to scoop the box. Problem solved. I've had friends tell me they would not even know I have cats if I didn't tell them but they do smell my spaniel dog when she is due for a bath. Can't win 'em all. Clumping: I think it clumps quite well but have noticed that you need a deep layer for it to clump extremely well. I don't use a deep layer because I like to wash the boxes and completely switch out the litter every one to two weeks and don't want to waste too much. I tilt the box to scrape the clump from the bottom of the box. I scoop boxes outdoors to reduce airborne dust and odors indoors. This is done right next to my pet waste compost bin so scraping the bottom of the box isn't an issue. I'd rather have fresh litter and scrape the bottom of the box then a thick layer of smelly used litter and waste a ton when I have to toss it. If your cat(s) don't mind 2-3 inches of litter and you don't mind wasting money throwing it all out, then yes it will clump very well for you. The best clumping litter I have ever used was a new one a celebrity cat guy endorses. I had to stop using it because it formed cement-like balls on the bums of my persians. But seriously it clumped like cement. I also reviewed it. Sustainability and disposal: I lumped these together because it is so important! Its crushed walnut shells. Renewable and doesn't do any harm at all. It could only be better if it were from organic farming/harvesting methods. Which is why I didn't give it five stars. Its entirely compostable. I compost our litter, cat poo and dog poo. Yes this is safe to do and recommended by the USDA. Do your own research on composting. Our pet waste never goes in landfills. Longhaired cats: It sticks to them. It sticks to their bums. It sticks to their paws. It gets in their coats. I find that I can pick it out or brush it out. It does bother me. I like a clean house and finding this stuff everywhere is really uncool. They can't help it. So I remind myself that I am so grateful that they actually use the box in the first place and get over myself. I plan to get a robot vac to assist my overworked broom. If you have shorthair cats you may not even notice or be too chill to care. I plan to try the pelleted version of this litter next but I expect my declawed cat will not use it. I may put the pelleted version in the box upstairs so that I may find less of it in my bed. Only one of my cats uses that box so it would be okay to put the pellets here. I love this litter. I would love for it to track less and to be less dusty but its other attributes outweigh those minor inconvenieces so I will continue to use this litter until something better comes along. It's a great litter that keeps my cats safe, they will actually use it, and it alligns with my evironmental moral compass. 4 stars now but if they made it organic I'd give it 5.

Finally an outperforming litter
I have used Tidy Cat, Arm & Hammer, Fresh Step, World's Best Cat Litter among so many others. I have adopted my mother's cat and absolutely hate litter boxes but here I am scooping poop again (1 cat). So far this is by far the best and most affordable litter I have used. Purchased a bag in October, scoop, add and it lasted 5 months with no odor. Just purchased my 2nd bag. Pro's: Controls odor without strong scents or corn smell (World's Best). Lasts a long time, easy to sweep up since you can see it by it's color. Con's: leaves a little brownish dust on kitty paws but that easily comes off. Although it does not clump like clay litter, it does clump. I would say you sift through more litter to get all the little clumps and to ensure the litter is clean of any left over bits. If I head to the garage right after the cat has pooped, it does smell of poop but the cat doesn't really cover it up much which may be the reason. However, when I scoop in the morning and he did his business overnight I do not smell it. I purchased a litter box that has a coating that makes the inside VERY slick so if there is pee along the edge I can just shake or use the scooper to loosen it and it comes right off the wall of the litter box. It also has a lid with a hole he can enter but little holes so as he jumps out it catches some of it and it drops back in. My favorite thing is that this lasts, making it more economical in the long run and less waste entering the trash/landfills. At first it smells like walnut (not too strong) but in time you don't notice the smell. It is really pretty odorless even after kitty has used it (unless he just used it and it's #2). Because it is in the garage it is much easier to sweep up from the floor because you can see the brown litter as compared to others that are white or gray in color. It has not stained the floor or the white litter pan lid. The cat does not bring litter dust into the house and this does not get stuck in his paws like clumping litter did after he scratched it in. He would jump out, shake his paw and leave little clumpy bits behind - not with this litter. Very pleased and will not use anything else now. It is natural, sustainable, creating less waste. I would have to completely dump litter once a week from his box, wash it out and replace. With this, I have not had to do that at all. However I do have to run the scooper through a lot of litter to get all the little bits but worth it when not having to dump so much out into the trash each week. Everything about this is amazing!
I was using the Arm and Hammer 99% and/or 100% dust free litter, it was pretty good really, so I am comparing this to a very high standard litter. This walnut litter is actually way superior, I am so surprised. First it is non toxic which was one of my reasons for trying it. But it also just performs SO well. There is literally ZERO odor with this. I always noticed a bit of lingering odor with the Arm&Hammer. And the room it was in would always have some ick smell from it, even though I am extremely diligent about keeping the litter clean. I literally scoop every time the cat goes and change litter and waste can regularly. Anyway, the absorbency and clumping with walnut is perfect, it really seals everything up into an easy to scoopable block. There's very little dust and at least you know it's just walnut and not anything toxic. It's also a lot lighter to scoop than the dust free Arm&Hammer which is very heavy like coarse sand (don't get me wrong, Arm&Hammer is still a very good litter) but I now like this way better. I also feel like it is going to last longer, it fills the tray better because it's not like sand which is densely packed. I never thought I could LOVE a Litter, but I actually do, this stuff is wonderful. The odor free aspect is the very best thing! Very happy, it's the only litter I ever want to buy now. I learned about it when I had to board my cat and the lady at the cat boarding hotel was using it and it was very notable with all those cats in one space, no smells with all the many litter boxes around.

Love it
My cat is happy with this litter and it is the best to clean, low dust, low tracking, it masks urine very well. We both are happy with it. Million years better than corn or clay litter.

I apologize I thought I was reviewing this company, but a different formula.
UPDATE: I do not like the quick clumping litter. It is not like their other formulas at all! I apologize if my prior review misled anyone, and if I did, I want to set the record straight hence the reasons for this update. To be clear, Iโve used 2 other formulas from this company, and I love each of them. BUT not this one! I donโt know what it is about the quick formula b/c it does not clump well or hold the clumps together at all. However, the outer control is still wonderful. You cannot tell I have a kitten in my home at all. To be sure, I wonโt be buying this formula again, but I will stick with the brand. I donโt know if I can get a refund or an exchange for one of the formulas I used before buying this particular bag, but I sure as heck would appreciate a refund or a replacement. Iโve read good reviews and bad reviews. But honestly I wonder if that was join the bad reviews are either doing it just to go against the company or I wonder if they donโt clean the box out regularly and also they probably have plastic litter boxes that absorb smells. And I love this litter thereโs no poo or urine smell. Itโs clumping is wonderful. My kitty has no problem using it. once again, I donโt understand the negative reviews. Donโt believe theyโre factual. I bought this liquor up our recommendation from my neighbor who has five cats. Walking in there. You would never guess. She has even one cat. My home guess not smell it all like a little box. I attribute it to this litter, which is awesome. Itโs a little more expensive, but it lasts longer and because thereโs no disgusting cat smell. Itโs worth itโs weight in gold. So I HIGHLY recommend you buy this litter also, the stainless litter box. Youโll be amazed at the difference and youโll love it! I also recommend that you had two litter boxes if you have one cat if you have two cats have three litter boxes. Thatโs the best way to keep the kitties going potty in the litter box like theyโre supposed to and not around the house.

NEVER going back to clay litter!
I could never find a clay litter brand that prevented smell, didn't make nasty clouds of dust when I cleaned it, and didn't leave little clay streaks when my cat tracked it around -- but this litter is better than I ever could have hoped. I tell every cat owner I meet to try this stuff. I introduced it by filling a cheap backup litterbox, which I set next to the clay litterbox. My cat loved this walnut litter's sand-like texture and preferred this one right away. - Even when it is full, it smells nutty and not gross - Some minor tracking (can't be fully prevented) but it's not as bad as other litters we've tried - Good value for the amount you get - PLUS this is better for the planet and your/your cat's respiratory health! - Clumps well (sometimes clumps are not as hard as clay litter) - Sometimes my cat's white paws are a little brown right after she uses it but it goes away fast lol

Excellent
I've used this almost a week and here is what I can summarize. Pros: I've seen some comments which discuss the smell. Personally I much prefer this to conventional litter, I find it odorless and not dusty both of which are great. Compostable is another pro. Clumps well, and is easy enough to clean. My senior cat didn't find it to be an adjustment at all, she used it right away. I was a but concerned about this. Cons: it does fly quite a bit, so more regular sweeping/vacuuming is required. The dark colour doesn't let you know how dirty the litter is. You really need to dig around. Overall, I love the product. It's worth the extra sweeping. I'm not 100% convinced that it'll last 3x longer than conventional litter - But I'm really pleased with the experience so far & will be buying again the next time I need litter.

the only litter i will use
I LOVE THIS LITTER. It truly keeps all smells at bay. Coming into my small apartment, you would never know a cat was here (if you didn't spot her at least lol).

Good litter but buyer beware lol
Love how this clumps without the nasty smell you get from clay litter. Both my cats use this litter without issues and it vacuums up really well (tile and laminate floors). Down side.. this litter gets EVERYWHERE in the house. Places I didn't even think the cats went - litter. It's really light weight when it hasn't gotten to the point of clumping so it goes wherever the cats ever think about going. I've been using silica for so long I forgot about the issues other litter can cause. Clogged my drain cleaning the litter box out (my own fault but haven't had this issue with other kinds) even though I had the drain plug in - 0/10 experience. Much harder to clean the box compared to silica. I'll probably get it again as it's January and I've had this since October or November so even though it expensive, its well worth it given the time it lasts.

No mess!
This is the best litter I have ever purchased (and I've had cats for decades). It clumps just as well as the clumping cat litter I've purchased in grocery or pet stores, but there is no white powder on the sides of the litter box, & neither you or your cat will breathe in any powdery stuff. It is heavier than the typical clumping litter or newsprint litter so does not fly out of the litter box like other types. It is walnut shells, so you can put it in your organic disposal. I will only be purchasing this one from now on....
