Exactly what I needed

Serves its purpose.
You don't always need to have a car sized battery hanging off your drill. This 3 amp is a nice compromise between size, power and runtime. I also like that it is a little wider, thus making the vertical standing tools more stable and easier to set down without falling over.

Great for shorter jobs and less heavy.
I have all 20 volt max tools for shop and yard and love them. I have tended to add 5 and 6 amp hour batteries but lately I have come to realize not all jobs will take all day or even several hours. So a smaller lighter battery has its place when lower weight is nice. So I now have a 2Ah and a 3 Ah battery for shorter duration jobs. Same torque and power as the big ones but for less time which is fine for quickie jobs.

Worked as expected. Was discounted at Amazon so a great value. Too early to tell about longevity of the product. But, Dewalt usually makes quality products.

Works great for small jobs.
If you are a DIYer then this is the battery for you. If you are tackling small jobs and don’t want to lug around a 6ah battery around then this battery is great. However if you’re a full time contractor using a power tool all day you’re going to want something bigger. Bigger the battery the longer it lasts. I like this battery works great with my spot light and impact. Just couldn’t beat Amazon’s price.

Great Battery Life

Awesome Prime Day pricing
I picked two of these up during Prime Days. They are nice-sized batteries that reduce weight while lasting longer than my two-amp batteries. Both batteries' manufacture dates were just a few months ago, and DeWALT confirms they are the real deal with a quick scan of the QR code printed on them. I probably should have bought more.
