ETUDE HOUSE SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner

I have a really bad habit of rotating a lot of different products around in my skincare routine. This is great because I get to test out a lot of products and figure out which ones are my favorite and work best for my skin type (oily-combination). But it's also a problem because it means that I can break out when testing out new products that have ingredients that my skin isn't fond of. I originally purchased this toner because it was recommended to me for the 5-step toner method (you pat the toner into your skin, let it dry, and repeat 4 more times). It doesn't have alcohol in it so it's really good for that. But what I've found is that this toner is perfect for when my skin is freaking out and I want to use something that is soothing but also does the trick. I know that no matter what's happening with my skin, this is a product that I can rely on without worrying about irritations or bad skin reactions. This is the product I take with me (I put it in a smaller container) when I travel, which I think shows how much I trust it.I would highly recommend this product to anyone with super sensitive skin. I'll definitely be repurchasing this when I finish up my bottle!

- First toner I ever used when I started my Korean Skin Care routine- To be honest, I thought it felt like just water at first- You can use either cotton pad or clean fingers to apply, I pour about 4-5 drops in the palm of one hand and slap the two together and pat evenly to apply over my face- I find it helps make your skin feel hydrated in the “wet” sense, not the “lotion/moisturizer” sense. Not in a bad way, I quite liked it. Others say they don’t like too much feeling of water on their face and will use a cotton pad and swipe around- Overall, would buy again. At the moment, however, I’m trying a licorice toner to help with my hyperpigmentation as this toner mostly is just for toning and assisting with the application of other products after this is applied

I like this toner though honestly it makes my skin feel a little tacky. I when I follow up with an essence/serum it is diminished which is fine to me. It is easy to spread and feels very gentle on my skin which I like. I do recommend this as a very nice basic toner! The packaging is kind of stunning, tbh is looks so clear like glass. Overall I’m happy with this purchase as my toner!

Love this whole line! The toner is the first SoonJung product I tried, and it made me a believer. My skin barrier was extremely damaged from using harsh products for acne treatment. No matter how much moisturizer I slathered on, it wouldn't do anything and would only make me break out more! The pH balance relief toner was a life saver. My sensitive, acne-prone skin loves it!

I’ve been using this for a few weeks and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. You get instant hydration when you put it over your face and it makes you feel clean. I wouldn’t say it calms down my skin or helps in any way other than hydrating. I think this would be perfect for people with sensitive skin, it has no scent and the texture is just right.The star off is because there's nothing super amazing about the toner, but most importantly because my bottle came all scratched and looked damaged. It was not broken, it brought a seal and had a box, but the bottle was all scratched like it had been tossed around.

This feels like super soft filtered water on my face. My skin sucks it up fast. Love it! I have extremely sensitive reactive skin. This will be a forever product for me.

About halfway through the bottle I began to notice a huge difference in my skin. It has really helped to calm down my breakouts and has helped to reduce redness with my rosacea. Nothing else in my skin care routine has changed, I have very sensitive skin and this helps a lot. Buying another bottle now.

It has replaced my Missha FTE intensive moisture essence and my skin looks better than ever. I use it in the morning and night right after cleansing.
