Earthborn Elements Soap Flakes, Homemade Laundry Detergent, Tallow-Based, Unscented (1 Gallon)

Exactly as expected. Exactly what I needed. The bucket size is perfect. I purchased this product along with a few others in similar packaging to make my own homemade laundry soap. The smell on this was very clean but also not a toxicy perfumey smell. Definitely will be purchasing again

Since 2020, my wife and I make our own laundry detergent. Usually we purchase a bar of Fels-Naptha and grate it up. This is way easier. It's hypoallergenic, and performs great. The cleaning action is the same as every other major brand. Personally, I use it in conjunction with Oxiclean, Washing Soda, and an enzyme cleaner.

I really like this and would give it 5 stars but it needs to dissolve in cold water first before adding clothes. If not the flakes are all over clothes even after even a second rinse. It dissolves great in hot water. I love the way it is unscented. Ingredients are great. I mix it with washing soda & some borax. Gets clothes super clean & is gentle. Adding a few drops of lavender essential oil in rinse-it’s honestly the best detergent. I should add that I have a top loader.

Edit - company responded promptly with offer of replacement item. Great customer service and quality product. Would have given the product 5 stars if the bucket wasn’t defective. I will revisit my review if the company responds with a new lid or replacement.

It tasted so bitter that... oh.. soap flakes? Washes clothes wonderfully! This is in combination with a number of other natural ingredients for home made soap. Still not edible, but a crap-ton less toxic than the chemicals in all of the commercial brands. Its easy to make and much lower impact on your clothes, the waste water and the machines.
