I took a risk on this ‘new gin’ for me whilst looking for a ‘Navy Strength’ purchase. I have to say up until this point Tarquin’s Sea Dog reigned supreme in my eyes as the number one Navy Gin until the ‘new kid on the block’ arrived and became a real contender for top slot. Weighing in at a heady 60% this gin is most certainly full bodied in flavour, but remains as smooth as silk in a measured glass of tonic, about 200ml does the trick. The taste is simple, sweet, smooth and extremely pleasing, leaving a warm almost brandy like warm afterglow on the palate. A lot of what I could continue to say has already been mentioned in the other unanimously rave reviews on this super gin. Suffice to say it is up with the very best in the options of many, so try it and I’m pretty certain you will be back for more like me.
