Are the baskets stainless steel?

The basic filter exterior of the basket and the portafilter are stainless steel, but there is plastic at the bottom of the filters (both single filter and double filter), which is something I really don't like. But the machine works great so far, after a month of 6 espressos a day. Bought at Costco, not on Amazon.

Where can you find replacement parts for the handle that holds the espresso? I'm looking for the black piece that sits under the sieve?

I called Capresso for the same thing and they couldn't have been nicer. You should be able to find the number online

Has anyone tried a 20 oz steamer cup with this model?

We bought the KRUPS XS5020 20 Ounce Stainless Steel Milk Frothing Pitcher, Silver. It works terrific with the Capresso EC100 to steam the milk separately. We make the espresso directly into a mug or small pitcher, however.

what pods does it take?

I use ESE pods, exclusively with this machine. I bought the machine to use at work. The pods I use are Caffe Gioia, ship from a company called C&D foods (www.cndfoods.net), are from Italy. They come in a case, either with or without a "kit" which consists of sugar packets, stirrers, and small plastic cups. The machine works splendidly with the pods!
