## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this just the locking mechanism or does it come with the assists also?**
A: Just the locking mechanism.  The assists are separate.  I cant emphasize how useful both the rapid latch and the gorrilla lifts are.  One tip: if you get both, install the latch system first then the lifts.  I hade the lifts for some time before I got the latch system and and had to undo part of the lift system to install the latch system.  The gorilla lift is a real back saveer and the latch system is very secure.

**Q: will it work on a bi-fold trailer ramp?**
A: it will not work on a trailer gate that is not a single panel.

**Q: The width is 6'9". What is the length?**
A: This product is for a tailgate. The tailgate is NOT included.

**Q: Will this work on a karavan trailer , there seems to be a 2 inch gap between the rail and the tailgate**
A: There is not a gap, it is the way the latch is mounted on the rails and the gate.  The only gap shown is the width of the gate support frame.  The part that supports the bar is mounted inside the frame while the angled part on the rail is mounted on the outer edge of the rail.

It is a little work to install and you will need basic mechanical skills to do it, measuring, aligning, drilling some holes etc.I used some clamps on each side to hold it in place to mark up where everything goes.This thing is great. One quick level to lock/unlock your ramp. Well worth it.

Installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. Also it says it is compatible with the gorilla lift system. It would be nice to have instructions for doing that as it involves drilling holes in the top of the square channel to mount the bracket to the channel. Other than that, I love the function of this gate latch.
