Review: Just what I needed! - Needed a ceiling fan in my master bedroom and wanted better lighting than the ceiling fixture in place. I liked the clean styling of this fan and particularly liked the flat, downward facing light fixture. I was persuaded by the reviews from verified purchasers who liked the air flow and quietness of the product. I was surprised by the high marks given a product at the price point. The fan was packed with very good protective packing in a sturdy box. I reviewed the installation instructions which I found to be concise and easy to follow. I tightened the fan blade screws enough to contact the lock washers without flattening them, which allowed me to fit all three blades snugly together before tightening the screws down. I liked the way the blades fit together into a single unit. You can tell they will be balanced when they fit together. The light fixture was easy to attach. The wiring came with snap in connectors that were easy to use. The fan mounting plate is well designed and easy to mount to the ceiling with provided screws, and has pre drilled holes for attaching to the ceiling gang box. The mounting plate has a connector for the load, neutral and ground wires which you connect before hanging the fan. A small screwdriver is included to turn the screws in the connector that clamp the wires. The screws are in fact small, but I had no difficulty using the included screwdriver to tighten the screws to hold the wires in place. I did test each wire to be certain they were snug. I hung the fan on the hook the mount provides while I connected the power cord to the controller, then hung the fan without difficulty and snugged the four screws in place. I have installed a number of ceiling fans. This was the easiest install I have ever done. I put batteries in the remote, restored power, flipped the wall switch the turned the light on using the remote. I like the different temperatures available and the ability to dim the light. Full bright is quite bright. I turned on the fan and was surprised at both the air flow and by how quiet than fan was. This fan provides just what I wanted in a light and I am very pleased with the air flow and quiet operation of the fan. I note that you may turn the light on and off with the wall switch. There is a very brief delay of maybe a second as the controller powers up and turns the light on. If both fan and light are on when you flip the wall switch, the fan will not restart until you turn it on from the remote. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. The price point is icing on the cake so to speak. It is every bit as quiet as the Hunter fans I've owned, and moves more air, all for a fraction of the price. Review: Good - Easy to assemble with clear instructions. Fan is quiet and was easy to connect to phone app.

Good fan but flimsy remotes
The fan itself is powerful, love the punch for such as small size, but the remotes fail often (i have 3 o these units, and all remotes malfunction and its not a matter of the batteries)

Connecting your Phone app to the Fan & Light unit.
It was easy to install the fan and with the remote controller I was able to turn on the fan and make changes to the light setting and operate the fan. The remote controller was the only devise that could operate the unit to turn on & off, or changing the fan speed, the direction of rotation, Light control, etc. If you misplaced or lost the remote controller the Fan & light unit can not be operated because there is no switch on the fan unit. I am told the Fan unit can not have two remote controllers. It is essential therefore the Fan & light unit be connected to the Phone app. The instruction to connect to the phone app in the manual did not help me to connect. I contacted "Sunmory"Customer service by email and Connie was very help full to connect the phone after several attempts. The following method finally connected to my phone app. 1. After installing the "FanLight Pro" app, name your Fan, etc. before the final step, turn on the light with the remote. 2. turn off the power to the unit with a wall switch or the house tripswitch that supplies power to the fan unit. 3. after some time turn on the power back on to the fan unit ( the light should come back on) and within 5 sec. after the power was turned on press the Bluetooth connection button on the "FanLight Pro" app as shown on the instruction. This method finally connected my phone to the fan unit and I am able to operate the fan unit with my phone and the remote. Good luck.

Took some time but we got er up,
Well folks, this is a right nice little fan. But before you start putting the fan together, brew up a cup of coffee and sit back and look at the fan, open the box, take a picture of every thing as you up pack it. Do it in an organized fastion. Read the instructions once, twice, and a couple of more times. Who ever designed this baby knew what they were doing. You got to hand it to them because in the end, everything fits right on. Make sure you stop and drink that cup of coffee and don't get in a rush. Now the next part of hanging it up is something else especially if its over a bed. I set the latter beside the bed and laid a 2x4 piece of plywood on the bed so I could step on it sort of. No listen, the hardware is any good cause we don't have wooden or concrete ceilings in the US. So: remove your old ceiling ficture from the electrical box. Keep the two long screws that mounted the old light. With those screws mount the black round ceiling box that came with the fan to the electrical box that is already in the ceiling. But first pull the white, black,, and ground wire through the center hole. You will not need wire nuts but make sure the ends of the wire are streight. After the round fan box is mounted to the electrical ceiling box the connect the electrical wires the the little white connector in the fan box. This is kind of a pain but they work if you don't fall off the bed. Now comes the pain in the "what" to get the fan installed the the black round fan ceiling box. First, cut a shout 4 inch wire (coat hanger wire works. Make a hook on each end and use it to hang the fan body to the ceiling body. Then you can connect the other wires. Remember to read the instruction again and again. I had trouble getting the fan body to notch in the the ceiling box. If its screwd to tight to the ceiling then the fan may not mate or if the electical box is catty wampus. So i used several about 1/8 inch shims to keep the fan box away from the ceiling but still provide a solid instulation.. Remember, every instulation is different. And I didn't fall all of the bed. And I am a real old dude. Yes, I would buy it again because it' a sweet little fan with a remote wife will figure out one of these days.
