All the 1-star reviews just try to place the sticker on top of the button itself, which is NOT how to install it. I've written a quick little guide on how to install for a One S controller, and console.I was looking at guides in how to do this and was never able to shake the idea of actually doing it. I have friends who also want this, but I'm other colors than what I want, so it's great that it comes with 8 colors.For a One S controller, there's a button membrane on the inside of the controller for the home button. This membrane has a hole in it for the LED to shine through, I just put the tiny sticker covering that hole and re-assembled the controller.For a One S console, there is no video documentation. **Note: this product is not advertised to work with a One S console, but it can be done, as proved by my picture** Similar to the controller there is a plastic spring mechanism for the power button with a hole for the LED to shine through. Again, just cover the hole with the selected color and re-assemble.I'm in love with this modification, even though it's a bit tricky and technical, all to tint your home button.

It did not come with the shade of green I wanted, but I was able to achieve it by using one teal and three yellow stickers. So if they don’t have the color you want you can try mixing different stickers and stacking them. To test out my sticker combination, I stacked them on top of my phone’s flashlight and set the Xbox button on top of it to see what the color look like shining through.The controller must be disassembled and the stickers need to be stuck on the rubber piece I’m pointing to in one of the pics.The instructional video was very clear and easy to follow. Just take it slow and pay attention and you shouldn’t have an issue.I also used these on my Xbox console as well.I just stuck the stickers on the back of the power button! It looks great! I love how it matches my controllerCheck out my controller I greened out! Green is beautiful!

This whole thing is garbage now iv done computer hardware repair before iv never worked on a xbox one but i trust myself and they have a install video so cool their video is vary basic and what they dont tell u to do is disconnect the auxiliary port bc if not it breaks it.....and even when i take it all apart and put the color disc on the light i put it back together and the disc is to thick so it wont turn the controller on so I get to take it all apart again like an hour of work to basically break my aux port and the pry tool they give is junk the plastic just flattens out really fast buy an elite controller if u want to change the color do wait your time and money on this

The description for this item says you're getting a value because you receive 40 pieces of colored film to change the home button color of your xbox one controller. The issue with this, as is indicated in other reviews, is that the application of just one sticker may not give you the color you want. I wanted to use the light blue filter, and even after applying 4 stickers it's still not quite as much color as I would like. I don't know if the material of the home button on my specific controller is different (it's from the arctic camo controller), but it just didn't suite me exactly.I was prepared for taking my controller apart (as I had already done it once for custom buttons), however in taking it apart again to apply the film, I broke a wire for one of the rumble motors. So be careful when you are separating the two boards in the controller, don't put too much stress on those wires.So bottom line, I feel this is a little too expensive - I didn't need the "tools" that were provided to take apart the controller, though I can see how other people might. The film itself seems like it would not be that expensive, and not sure if I will use the other colors on other controllers. Good kit for the most part, just understand the value is simply in being able to modify the led color.UPDATE: I tried one of the darker colors (green) on a controller that has the same home button shown in one of the extremerate photos, and that worked better. I used 2 stickers to get a darker color, so I'm still not sold on the whole value proposition, but at least the color worked better with that home button. So I changed my review to 4 stars

Still waiting to see how these look on a controller. Was supposed to install a purple one on the galaxy controller I built for a customer but totally forgot. Also still haven’t quite figured out or rather taken the time to figure out how to install them. But that is totally on me because I didn’t read or watch any of the tutorials for installation. 😅

It’s only 3 stars cause the one color I wanted this for didn’t work. I wanted to use red, and it came out pink. Keep in mind you have to completely disassemble the controller in order for this to work properly, it just wasnt the right color for me

So I ordered this for my series X/S remotes and I mean... the picture speaks for itself 🔥 One thing to be cautious of is the actual rings themselves since they're smaller than the xbox logo I had no choice but to install it inside the rubber grommet inside the remote. (You'll have to open the whole remote by the way, but with patience you can do it yourself.) After the install because of where I installed it the home button is hard to turn on now and u need to press is hard. I did it this way instead of leaving it on the logo because of white light shining on the outside. They're perfect fits for Elite controller home buttons but not X/S... but I still love the look just look at em 😍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ok for those shopping who bump into this if you are really inexperienced with modding here is a little secret for you, the sticker is for the led not the button. Meaning you have to open it and place it inside. Yes that is why it came with tools. So before you order this and before you give negative feedback for any misunderstanding that is in relation to the sticker size please know what you are buying and what you will have to do to get what you want out of your product and modification. Understanding what you are working with is key to DIY. That being said this product is better than I originally expected. Why, well because I thought at first that it was supposed to be a button cover like most did. After quickly figuring out what I REALLY had in my hands, I am pleased to know the actual intent of the stickers because over time a button sticker would wear and come off. In this case your light stays your color of choice until you open the controller up and replace the sticker. So thank you. Color options are as advertised. It was a fairly easy installation but I gave 3 out of 5 stars for it because of the measures taken in order to do this mod, which puts many inexperienced DIY controller modifiers in a bind if they do not reassemble the controller properly. So again, beware first timers. Please read the right reviews and understand that this is not for your button but rather inside the controller. If you are really unsure of your ability to strip down and modify your own controller don’t fret, just take it to someone with experience who can. I'll give you the bad news first; these are not stickers that you pop directly on to the button. They don't claim to be either, but just a heads up. You have to disassemble your controller entirely, and install the film behind the xbox button.The good news is that it really isn't that hard. These guys have a very detailed youtube video showing you how to do it. First time took me 50 minutes, second controller 15. I have no background in electronics, I can just follow instructions. My controllers still work, nothing blew up.

Prima di tutto se non avete un po’ di manualità con questo tipo di lavori allora non fatelo. Secondo abbiate pazienza, perché si lavora nel piccolo e bisogna smontare un buon 80% del pad per arrivare dove va messa la piccola pellicola (nel mio caso rossa) per “modificare” la luce del tasto Xbox. Ovviamente, anche se non è specificato, la pellicola va situata tra la luce mini led e il tasto Xbox, quindi, dovete smontare il pad. Non potete metterla sopra al tasto! No. Dovete per forza smontarlo. L’effetto che ne consegue è molto bello, io avevo necessità di farlo poiché di sera quella maledetta luce bianca che mi puntava in faccia mi dava particolarmente fastidio! Così è decisamente tutta un’altra storia. Il kit arriva con tutto il necessario per smontare ed ovviamente rimontare il pad. Addirittura vengono fornite viti sostitutive del colore nero, nel caso vengano perse nella fase di smontaggio e montaggio. Il lavoro in se non richiede molto tempo, avendo un po’ di manualità ci si mette una mezz’ora lavorando tranquilli, bisogna fare particolare attenzione nella rimozione dalle sedi dei motorini di vibrazione e nella rimozione della scheda superiore, quella dove sono saldati i motorini della vibrazione, poiché se tirate ferocemente per farli uscire rischiate di strapparli con una conseguente e probabilissima bestemmia. Una volta tolta, ma più che tolta, spostata la parte superiore della scheda, si avrà accesso alla parte sottostante della scheda. Al di sotto della seconda scheda ci sono i gommini dei tasti, (A X Y B ecc ecc) dovrete alzare quella, prendere quella fantastica gomma e mettere lì (vedi foto) la pellicola del colore che più vi aggrada. Dovrete fare attenzione che non si sposti quando la rimettere, perché potrebbe spostarsi! Quindi calma e sangue freddo 🤣 sono fondamentali per la buona riuscita del lavoro! Fatto quello, potete sempre con molta calma rimontare le schede e le relative viti.Non riuscire nell’impresa oppure avete paura di fare danni?
