Illusion Priming Moisturizer

I wish i didn't love this so much but its my go to primer after trying all the rest. Pricey but I splurge on the highest quality products. It never dissapoints, really makes my make up look flawless.

I love this and that sucks cos it's out of my price range. It has such a beautiful smooth texture to it, that melts into and softens my face wonderfully. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or trigger migraines w/ scent. It's just a great primer/base for makeup, or even alone. I do still need a moisturizer as my skin is very dry (winter in Chicago isn't helping) but this would prob be sufficient hydration for the norm

I absolutely love hourglass products and this priming moisturizer is no different. Hourglass has dialed in high quality products that make your skin look flawless. The minute you open the box you are greeted with luxury. The component is gorgeous and heavy, its satin glass and has gold top with a pump. Inside the bottle is a luxuriously creamy moisturizer that perfectly primes your skin for makeup application or you can certainly use it on it's own. I really love a product like this that combines two steps in one because often I find that my moisturizer and primer are incompatible and can cause pilling. Plus it saves me money and time not having the extra step. I've tried priming moisturizers from other brands and often they just were not hydrating enough for me and I would use them on top of another moisturizer. This product however makes my skin feel so good and so moisturized and ready for makeup. There is no need for additional moisturizer underneath. A little goes a long way and it takes a tiny bit longer to dry than other primers and does give you a glow. I love having an extra glow under makeup because I find most complexion products drying. This product gives you a plump hydrated canvas perfect for under any complexion product. The priming moisturizer is hydrating but not at all heavy or greasy. It also doesn't seem to have added fragrance which is perfect because I have sensitive skin and sometimes fragrance can irritate my skin or even cause my nose to get congested if it's strong. I think this product would be great for those with normal to dry skin. Those with oily skin might like it too, depending on what products you put over it. If you have oily skin hydrating you skin it is still a good start, especially if using matte or full coverage foundation. This product isn't oily, it's hydrating, so I can see this working for many skin types. As far as value, this product is definitely a luxury buy. Value will depend on the person and I think that it's a little pricey but worth it. It's definitely a nicer product that works better for me than slightly less expensive options. I love this priming moisturizer it makes my skin look so pretty with makeup.

This primer was not a good fit for my combination skin. I broke out horribly after only two days of use.

This is a really nice moisturizing primer. It's neither too heavy nor too thin, it's just the right consistency for my skin. And it's super hydrating! I've tried a lot of combo primer/moisturizers and I've never really found that they do a great job at both - it's usually better at either one or the other (or neither). This one is a fantastic primer that leaves my skin silky smooth, but also very hydrated. It's a winner. When I find a product I love I stick to it, and I tend to spend for quality beauty products, so I will definitely be picking this up again.
