It would get kind of hot. It kept me warm in the snow so I don't think it would be great in the summer heat. **Q: Does this mask use velcro as a closure? Also, it says that it is oversized, but only 18.7 inches long?** A: Yes it uses velcro. I found it to be a but tight, even for being oversized **Q: Hey this wouldnt happen to glow in the dark would it?** A: no it does not, its just plain white. **Q: How thick is the neoprene material?** A: I cannot give you an exact on the thickness, but it is of good quality. The mask I purchased about one year ago is for my motorcycle. I love it and it does the job (I.e. keeping the dust, smoke, etc.) out. My hubby have a few of them (half and full face). I would recommend it. Does its job and is made from excellent material ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great looking mask, a few design flaws *by M***N on September 17, 2011* It looks great, fits fairly well, and would probably be decent in keeping your face warm. It would be great for Airsoft, snowball fights, snowboarding, or any other sort of outdoor sports! Personally, I purchased it because it bears the closest resemblance to Ghost's mask (character from Modern Warfare 2). About the complaints re: the tight straps. I don't have a small head, but I don't have a very large head either, so if you're of medium size, it should fit fine. One improvement I'd make to this mask is widening the nose slit, as it's a bit tight, and creates some tension on the bridge of the nose. The only other annoyance is the fact that if you're wearing glasses with this, they WILL fog up very, very quickly thanks to the steam from your breath flowing upwards due to the non-breathability of the neoprene. The solution to that would most likely be more mouth-holes; however, I'm not certain whether that would necessarily help, due to the neoprene's lack of breathability.
