Mother Lode Travel Backpack - Black

My husband and I have owned two of these for about four years, and have bought 3 of them as gifts for our grandkids. This is a great backpack that holds enough clothes for a week and still has other compartments for storing other items. It stows in the overhead bin in an airplane. Very high quality item - made well - no tears, rips or anything like that after heavy use for four years. It's great to use as a backpack and the straps for the backpack can be stored very easily in a compartment in the back. We have loaned our to other people and really can't say enough good stuff about them!

Used this for trip to Europe. Fit I. Overhead. Wasn’t scrutinized for size at airline. Held up well.

I purchased this backpack based on the reviews. I have been very happy with it. It’s has lots of compartments. What I loved about it is I could get enough clothes in there for a week and I was able to put it in the overhead compartment on the plane and I didn’t miss my connection because I didn’t have to wait for a roller bag. I have recommended this bag and I would purchase it again.

This bag is AWESOME! It is one of my favorite all time travel bags. It holds so much and is really good quality. Worth every penny.

Well made backpack that is roomy and well designed, The backup is also not too heavy. Comfortable to carry.

What a disappointment. Side strap broke first use. The strap on the back that holds it onto its matching roller bag is placed too low so the bag does not stay on properly. Used it for two weeks in europe and it was constantly sliding off the bottom bag or the slightest turn or curb and it would all flip over. When using the combo it was very heaving pulling it and i wish i had opted for a 4 roller bottom bag. I should have ordered the smaller backpack for this set up.

Really well-designed pack & sturdily constructed. We are frequent travelers using domestic & international flights. This pack is so easy to carry, keeping hands free to manage a spinner through a crowded airport. It fits in the overhead compartments on different planes and the multiple handles allow for ease of lifting into the bin and retrieving at end of flight. We use small carbingers to clip the zipper pulls together & a lightweight 1” wide strap around it, for added security when standing in crowded lines at the airport. Also, bright neon luggage tags to avoid mixups with other people’s packs when pulling out of overhead bins. We aren’t using it to carry a laptop; not meant for this. But super for packing clothes, some toiletries, a pr of lightweight shoes and all the cords needed for handheld electronics. Easy to clip on a neck rest for long flights.

This bagis HUGE! IUt is more like a carry-on suitacase than a backpack and slightly different than the original e-bags version. It is well built and has a good warranty.
