Battery Replacement Kit with Battery, Video Instructions and Tools for the Nook Color BNRV200 eReader

This replacement battery worked well. The battery life is good and it keeps a charge decently enough. It fit flawlessly but install was a real task. If you’ve done technical works, worked with small tools or electronics, or something similar then you’ll be fine. If not, it may be more challenging but it can be done. My wife or children wouldn’t have been able to manage this battery install. Have a small bowl to drop the many screw you’ll remove and be in a well lit and stable workspace. It will require some patient manipulation of very, very small parts. When it comes time to replace the Nook battery I will order this again. 5 stars for product fit & quality. 3 stars for the ease of assembly.

Think twice before you buy this battery replacement for your Nook. The original lasted me almost 8 years and I only had to charge it maybe twice a week. This one only last a few hours and I have to plug it in to recharge it. It's a real pain to just take an overnight trip and have to remember to bring your charger if you want to continue reading. If it wasn't so much trouble to take it out, I would send it back but if you have ever changed out one of these batteries you can understand it's not worth the trouble. Now I just keep it in one of my normal reading spots and keep it plugged in all the time. I REPEAT!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY BATTERY!!!! UPDATE! One month later... Now the battery does not work at all and my Nook is worthless. I have to pay to return it and they want all original packaging in original condition to be returned also. I guess this is just a $33.00 lesson in not to do business with this company. I just wish I could take away the one star and just give them 10 thumbs down.

This isin't quite as easy to install as is stated up front. If you don't have good dexterity or mechanical aptitude you will need help. My wife started to replace the battery on her Nook but needed me to take over because of it's cumbersom multipul steps. Otherwise it works perfectly

I was pleased with the replacement and the instructions were very clear. Working on the interior of the reader is quite difficult as everything has been miniaturized. I would not suggest this to anyone lacking in hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Did not work in Nook. Not right battery and no offer to find right one. Returned and refunded.

Good installation video was a big help ! My 10 year old granddaughter replaced the battery with a little help from me.

The video that shows a person using the plastic prying tool provided in this kit to open the kindle to change the battery? You know, that one? Utter and complete nonsense. There’s no way that tool ever gets a purchase to begin loosening the cover. They say a million monkeys hitting random keys on a million typewriters over a period of a million years is destined eventually to produce an exact copy of the plays of William Shakespeare. I predict that singular and remarkable feat would be accomplished well before anyone is able to change a kindle battery at home with the tool provided.

I liked that the package included the tools to replace the battery, however the video made it look easier than it was. I is do-able, you just need to be patient.
