They seem to be water repellant but IF they get soaking wet the lenses fog up with condensation. We left them outside (lost in the bushes) and it took about a week in rice to dehydrate the condensation. **Q: I have a 3 and 6 y/o. Def want these for 3 y/o but do you think 6 y/o would be too old too quickly for these? maybe cheap real ones instead?** A: My 3 year old loves them and even my 12 year old is impressed by them. **Q: Is this item made with PVC and does it contain plasticizers (phlathlates)?** A: I do not have a clue what it is made of.
