小さな工場
購入してまだ1ヶ月ほどですが、もう手放せないほど気に入っています。 今まで使っていた6万円程度のCNCと比較すると、10倍程度の速度と精度で加工できています。 アルミや真鍮などの金属も簡単に削ることができ、±0.05mm以下の精度で加工できるため、あれこれ作りたくなってワクワクが止まりません。 今後はレーザーキットを購入して、レーザー彫刻機としても活用したいと考えています 追記 レーザーキットを購入しました。 レーザーを取り付けた事で扱える素材がぐんと増えました。 ただ$コマンドを理解していないと初期設定でつまずきます。 $11 30 31 32 120 121 122 と ワーク座標系のオフセットを変更して使っています。

Fabulous Support
The CNC was very easy to assemble and I have been using it for the last year mainly with the laser. Using the router is a whole more of a learning curve! I decided recently to see if I could mill the fine isolating tracks for PCB prototypes (0.6mm) using the supplied spindle. In doing so I found that there was a 0.25mm runout on the spindle- I guess it was very slightly bent. It was just a couple of days before the guarantee expired, but Yuni in FA support accepted my claim and shipped a replacement FOC by courier. A few days later I now have a working and accurate spindle with a runout of only 0.02mm. Fabulous support!!!

Love this CnC, a great starter machine for a beginner…..
Absolutely love this CnC from FoxAlien. It arrived well packaged in one box which made it very heavy, it would have been better in two sections. Anyway the CnC was well protected. The instructions to put the pre-prepared parts together were easy to follow and I had the machine up and together within a couple of hours. I got mine in the sale but even at the recommended price this CnC is well worth the money for a starter CnC. You can buy an extension if you want a larger cutting area in the future, my advice is to buy the larger machine to begin with, I wish I had done that but an extension will be next once I get used to running this one correctly. Just one small thing to note, make sure you tighten all the screws tightly because on my first project the vibration quite quickly started to undo the screws and the gantry dropped forward, it gave me quite a fright but I learnt my lesson.

Very happy with Fox Alien
The machine has performed very well for me, and when I ran into software issues with my CAD program, the tech support at Fox Alien went above and beyond to help me sort it out. I've made some impressive carvings so far. I also purchased the 8040 upgrade kit for it. Everything is so well made, its truly an impressive machine.
