I am NOT a dancer and have bad feet so need something I can put my orthotics in and get decent support in while moving on a wooden floor. These fit the bill quite nicely. They come up a little akwardly on the ankle, but, I never notice it anymore once they were broken in (which took about a month or so). They are not too bright or flashy so they go with almost anything. Best of all, they don't seem to get that really worn look too fast. In fact, I've worn them to the gym for months with almost no signs of wearing out. The reason I love Ryka sneakers for women is that they carry the mid-height sneakers which is about the only brand now that carries this type of sneaker for women. Another reason I like Ryka is that the footbed tends to be a little wider for alot of movement in such classes as Zumba, kickboxing and step aerobics. The Ryka Studio Mid-Training shoes met my expectations. The shoes are light, comfortable and allow easy movement. The only difference with this style is that the material is a bit less flexible than other fabric styles I've worn in the past but still a very good sneaker.
