I watched many YouTube videos and read lots of articles. I looked at DC to DC chargers and BIMs like this. I decided to go this way and I think it was a good decision. My motorhome already had a BIM that was physically the same as this one, just not for Lithium so it was pretty easy to swap it out. I just took out the original BIM and put this one in its place with the same connections and everything seems to be working properly. Review: Seems to do the job. - Installation is very easy. Connect the two battery cables to the appropriate terminals. Run a ground wire from the ground terminal to RV chassis. Find an ignition activated wire (one that only has power then ignition is running) and connect that to the ignition terminal. If you want to override and manually connect your house and chassis battery, just run a wire from positive battery terminal through a toggle switch and to signal terminal. It replaced an existing solenoid in my new E450 Ford chassis motorhome. I understand the concept and where to install it, but wasn’t sure I had the correct alternator wiring, so I had a tech install it.
