Review: Just starting out and dont know what direction this kit will help you - The top of my 09 black Passat looked like the clear coat failing but the rest of the car shined and was a victim of many carwashes. swirls all over the place and one big blemish on the passenger side door from some paint I tried to get off a year or so ago. Faced with a big bill I decided to get a porter cable buffer and fix it myself. I used Meguiars wax for a long time so when I read and watched the YouTube on the Meguiars microfiber correction process using the porter cable buffer I was sold and went to desertcart to search for the products and found a good price on the whole Meguiars system including pads , polish and wax and last but not least a backing pad for the porter cable which I would have to buy anyway. So it was a great deal for me. I followed the directions and washed the car first and then used the pink polish just like the Meguiars video said i could see it working right away. The trunk lid came back to black, the swirls started to disappear and that blemish on the passenger side door was gone. plus you hear about the smell and its true it was a pleasent smell. I then started the finish waxing on the car and it made it look beatiful and smelled like blueberries muffins which my wife appreciated she has always hated the smell of some of the products I have used around the house but this one she actually liked which was good becasue the laundry room is in the garage. all went on easy and wipeing it off was just as easy as you see on the video. I did end of doing the trunk lid twice but that was to really get it looking perfect. I also did my wifes mercury sable in red and it came out real nice as well but the one thing her car has always had are water spots but the ones you only see at certain light angles. I was hoping to make some headway on them but they were not corrected very much and I really tried in a few areas on the hood but to no avail. but they have been there for a long time and I tried getting them out years ago using cleaner wax to no avail so I am not even gigging them for a problem that might not even be able to be corrected. Car still looks good and I am the only one that sees the spots.\ All in all I did my vw twice the whole system and my wife's car once. I still have enough product to do one maybe two more cars. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who is like me just getting into detailing or to someone who just wants to save money like me instead paying someone else to do it. You will not be disappointed you did and you will also learn how to use your equipment after doing a few and getting success. One last thing, all the videos say to go slowly and that's true also marking the backing pad with black felt tip was another real good tip. The car didn't look bad from 10 feet away -- but didn't look good up close in direct sunlight. Did plenty of research into various polishes and tools before buying this product. I like that it had a well made backing plate plus pads, polish, and wax. Spent 8.5 hours washing the car then drying it. Clay barred the surface with the Meguiar's Clay Bar kit. Then polished and waxed with this kit. Took my time and used an inexpensive DA I got on eBay for $57. I am amazed at how well this turned out. The car looks like it just left the factory. Haze is gone. All scratches gone. Very easy to use. Just time intensive to do the job right. I couldn't be happier. Forget all of the crazy expensive pads, backing plates, and creams. This is all you need.

A: It doesn't come with a backing plate.

**Q: How many millimeters is the orbital throw of this machine?**
A: It has an 8 mm throw.

**Q: Is this a true da? meaning i know it oscillates but does it also rotate? otherwise it is just another random orbital and not a da**
A: It's a true DA polisher!!. This exact machine is used by almost every detail and body shop I know of. Although it's a great machine there are better though. I have this and a PC 7424, and use both regularly, but for different purposes. I use this machine more for paint correction and the porter cable for applying wax and sealant. Hope this helps.

The top of my 09 black Passat looked like the clear coat failing but the rest of the car shined and was a victim of many carwashes. swirls all over the place and one big blemish on the passenger side door from some paint I tried to get off a year or so ago. Faced with a big bill I decided to get a porter cable buffer and fix it myself. I used Meguiars wax for a long time so when I read and watched the YouTube on the Meguiars microfiber correction process using the porter cable buffer I was sold and went to Amazon to search for the products and found a good price on the whole Meguiars system including pads , polish and wax and last but not least a backing pad for the porter cable which I would have to buy anyway. So it was a great deal for me. I followed the directions and washed the car first and then used the pink polish just like the Meguiars video said i could see it working right away. The trunk lid came back to black, the swirls started to disappear and that blemish on the passenger side door was gone. plus you hear about the smell and its true it was a pleasent smell. I then started the finish waxing on the car and it made it look beatiful and smelled like blueberries muffins which my wife appreciated she has always hated the smell of some of the products I have used around the house but this one she actually liked which was good becasue the laundry room is in the garage. all went on easy and wipeing it off was just as easy as you see on the video. I did end of doing the trunk lid twice but that was to really get it looking perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Results

I used the ⬆️ Maguire's detailing products together with a shine mate orbital buffer using 2 microfiber buffer heads (1 for the orange compound and 1 for the polishing wax). Before applying the ⬆️ Maguire's detailing products I drove through my local brushless car wash and then wiped it down with microfiber cloths from Sam’s. I followed the instructions and an amazed with the finish. I was able to get out oxidation and scuffs that I would’ve sworn more permanent. Even the roof looks great, and it was so oxidized you could barely see the blue paint. Even better was the ⬆️ orange correction compound is MUCH easier to work with than comparable high-end detailing products. I had zero issues with messing up my paint. If the ⬆️ orange compound starts gumming up on the paint chances are good you should change pads. As others have said it is important to 1) really shake up the bottles before use 2) don’t apply very much product on the pad (4 quarter sized dollops goes a loooong way 3) let the orbital machine do the work…as it turns its breaking down the product which is key to results and be able to get it off easily 4) plan to use a bunch of microfibers. . Great stuff
