Fantastic for a 2nd controller!
Everything “Nintendo” these days is pretty expensive. From $89.99 1st party controllers to $500 Nintendo themed LEGO sets, it’s getting quite pricey to be a fan of the “Big N” without shelling out some big bucks! Enter the PowerA Advantage Wired Controller for the Nintendo Switch 2! I’ve purchased other controllers from this company in the past, and they’ve worked well overall. This one does everything you need it to do for a 2nd controller at a great price! The sticks work great and I have no fear of drifting so far. If it starts to drift, I’ll update this review. A great D-Pad is a must for me. Even Nintendo doesn’t have a proper D-pad out of the box for the Switch 2. (No clue why they continue down this path, but it is what it is.) That being said, the PowerA has an awesome D-pad for all your classic NES titles and platformers! The face buttons are well made and very comfortable. I’ve noticed no lag, so that’s a major plus. Also, the buttons aren’t to big or small. They found an agreeable size that should be easy on most gamers thumbs! All the “Home” type buttons are at the very bottom of the controller. Your “+”, “-“, “C” and Picture buttons etc will be there. Now, this may take some getting used to because the layout is much different for these buttons than in the past. I would take a very close look at the pictures above to see if this is a deal-breaker for you. For me, it’s no big deal. I was used to the new layout in a few days. Nothing major for me personally, but for others this can potentially be a problem. The triggers are all very comfortable, well placed and responsive! They did an excellent job here as well. The one major complaint I keep seeing is that the controller won’t “wake up” the system, and that’s quite true. It won’t. But if you feel like saving $50 it doesn’t take too much effort to hit the power button on the system. However, I can see this being a bit of an annoyance, but you get what you pay for. It’s not going to have everything the 1st party controller does, but it’s very close! In closing, at this price point you won’t find a better 3rd party controller on the market for the Switch 2! Well worth the money for your player 2 controller!

Great 3rd Party Controller
Works great, feels great, and the best part is it plugs right into the dock so it will never die in the middle of a game like wireless controllers. I love it.

Great if you are familiar with Switch controllers
Five stars because it does what it says it will. All of the buttons work, the sticks are very smooth in action, and the included cable is long enough that I have no real complaints about it. That said, this controller is incredibly light, so if you are used to heavy controllers, it feels "cheap". Also, the sticks are much longer than I am used to and much longer than the switch 2 joy con sticks. While this seems like a trivial issue, it means you have to move them in a much wider range to have the same result you are used to on your stock sticks. In summary, if you are more familiar with say, an xbox elite controller, this will be a totally different experience. It is also worth mentioning that it may have a detachable cable, but it cannot be used wirelessly, it has no rumble, and no motion controls. The lack of wireless support means it is only capable of functioning if attached to your dock. For this price range, and for the functionality of the controller, while also considering the lack of options on the market for switch 2 controllers right now, I have to say this is worth buying. Hall effect sticks are a must in my book and this has those for a very low entry price.

Works with the original Switch 1 (except to power it on)
Hopefully this helps someone else because I couldn't get a clear answer before I ordered them. These controllers work great as secondary controllers for the original Switch 1. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is powering on the Switch from the controller, which seems to be a thing when using Switch 2 controllers with a Switch 1. Also, these controllers are USB-C on the controller but they come with a long USB-C to USB-A which will plug directly into the USB-A ports on the Switch 1's docking station. I haven't really used them much yet other than to verify that they function. They feel very similar to the Switch Pro controller, but much lighter weight (no battery, no wireless). I was looking for Switch 2 controllers that would work with the Switch 1 because I don't have a Switch 2 yet and I don't want to invest in controllers that might not work well if I upgrade later.

Easy to use
This Switch 2 controller is backwards Compatible with the original Switch. (OLED/Original) It is wired. Which means it connects and runs from the Dock. It works well for Nintendo Switch 2/Original games. It is great for people on a budget that doesn't want to spend 80+ for a Pro controller for the console by Nintendo. It works well. Just has weird button placement, but easy to hold and use. I recommend it for anyone on a budget that would like to use a compatible controller for the NS2.

And i can 100% say not official controller. Yes it cheap alternative can do job but if u looking for real switch 2 controller with no risk go to walmart dont waste your money gambleing on here
