I have a dozen or so from different manufacturers, some with different features. Had both of these on and connected to my supporting network apps in 2 or 3 minutes. I use voice controls on both Alexa and Google. They are updated / authorized to share information with Smart Life aka Tuya Smart Life, among others. I think people get confused about which apps support these devices because there are many that include Smart Life in the name. I think the important thing that some people forget is that in order for most WiFi plugs and certain other smart devices to work properly, they need a 2.4Ghz connection. A lot of people do not realize that they may have this kind of connection limited to their Guest Network even though it is part of their home WiFi network, some providers designate 2.4Ghz connections restricted to a person's Guest Network, which would need to be enabled on, and also needs to be the selected network to connect a 2.4Ghz device to.Anyway, that may be the case for some people depending on the internet service provider. Worth noting that these very well priced sockets do NOT have surge protection built in, this is most important if you have tech electronics, and least important if you use this socket to plug into a surge protector you already have. They may or may not be shaped well for your purposes, but I have had more slim and more compact designs than these, but the dimensions are listed so no surprise. All in all I wish I could find the mismarked pricing for WiFi smart sockets I once got for about $1 each, but I'll take what I can get as long as they work and are better priced than 99% of the others. My wife and I were thinking out loud one night - if only there was a product that allowed us to control the lights with a remote control. A quick search on Amazon led me to this little gem. It is EXACTLY what we needed! I set the app up on both my wife's iPhone and my Galaxy Note and both of us can control the lights with a simple screen tap. I then activated the Tuya feature on my Google Hub, and it quickly found the device. I connected with a touch and renamed the device 'Christmas Tree Lights' and now all I have to do is say "Hey Google, turn the Christmas Tree Lights On" and it happens...pure magic!Note - we have a Google Wifi and connected the device using the 2.4G guest network. It works flawlessly with Alexa. I have about ten of these through out my house and I never had any issue with them. I use them for my reptiles, my lights and other devices. The only problem I've had is when I ordered more one did not work but the seller replaced it that day and I'm returning it today. It took two days and I just got my replacement today and both work perfect.
