Ahhhh…now that’s coffee!
I made the scary decision to ditch my coffeemaker and try this method and I can never go back! From the very first cup it was love. I worried my morning routine wouldn’t mesh with this set, but it has been seamless and I have all my best thoughts for the day while doing the pour over…it is oddly calming and the reward is the amazing coffee I get to enjoy. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed coffee more. For this particular set you do need a way to boil water. I like that the filter can be used with or without paper filters. The carafe holds a pretty good amount of coffee too. The timer is easy to set. If you are routinely grinding your own coffee, I would suggest a more substantial grinder, just for durability.

Reasonable cost but not a great grinder
Reasonably priced kit to try your hand at pour over coffee. However, the coffee grinder is not at all powerful and takes much longer to grind than should be. The scale, carafe and long neck pot are worth the cost though on their own. We had a nice grinder already so if you need a grinder, you might want to pick something else.

The setup is very small and the balance turns off by itself after a few minutes. The grinder is very very slow and its battery drains fast.

Misleading
The item pictured under the kettle is a scale, not a hot plate. Carafe is incredibly small, okay for one cup of coffee. Grinder did not work at all.

Perfect for a gift
Couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value of this product. Everything is solid and well made. I love the coffee cups and feel so 'Scandinavian chic' using them! I love "no contact with hot plastic" in my coffee brewing any longer. Using the same whole beans as before, I think the coffee tastes better with this simple new brewing system. It takes just about 5 minutes to boil the water, prep the grounds, and pour it out. It's a calming Zen process to begin my days.
