Can i machine these to make custom tips?

I would avoid machining the tips, as they usually have coatings that prevent oxide and other issues.

Works on a Hakko FX-951

These work great on my Hakko FX-951, and are a lot cheaper.

Yes, these work in the Tokego 980E

Figured out real quick there not as good as HAKKO but they are good enough for non critical jobs.

I have never gotten true hakko tips but these are great so far. I over use them and Im not great at taking care of solder tips and they still all work. I'll update this review if/when i have any issue.

Junk - Expect issues if using with a KSGER.

I should have listened to some of the other reviews. I was finally able to get them to work with my KSGER. Temp control is very unstable and fluctuates from 2 to 10 degrees C over set temp, never calming down.
