Also, the 3921 uses the two-direction adapter system for holding blades (better for pinned blades), while the 3922 uses a standard blade holding system (better for pinless blades). **Q: Did anyone find out if a miter gauge or some type of guard can be used to make straight cuts?** A: If your material to be cut allows enough room on the table portion to attach a straight edge with clamps, it will work just fine. Make sure that your straight edge is aligned with the saw blade so you don't end up breaking blades. Lastly, the thicker the material, use blades that have fewer teeth per inch or TPI. I am using a 7 TPI blade to cut anything over 1/2 inch, so far, it is working but slow cutting. **Q: I am new to scroll saws so have to ask. Is it worth the $40 difference in price for the 3921 over the 3920 and why.** A: I can't speak for the 3921, but the 3920 is okay at best, it's actually nice if you use pinned end blades.
