I filled an organza bag with this stuff and put it in the filter housing and I can already tell it is way better than the overpriced filters. The granular charcoal works perfectly and rinses clear after about 15-20 seconds under the faucet. This bag will last me a long time and save money. My cats seem happy already with the taste of the water, and now I can afford to change the charcoal filters way more often.

The product itself is just fine. A bit dusty but it does what it needs to. However I needed 5 lbs to replace the carbon in a filter and I was only sent 4.1 LBS so I was not able to completely fill my filter as needed. Messaged seller so if they correct this I will update my rating. **revised, seller was fast to replace order that was short on the weight.
