Review: I had problems with the first unit I purchased. I followed the manual provided but I could not get it to work. Also, the software on the company website included source code examples for Windows but only the compiled apps for android, not source code examples. So I sent and email to the company contact, asking for source code examples for android. The reply was almost immediate, very helpful and polite, with a link to download the code samples. I then wrote again regarding the issues I was having with the device not connecting neither via USB nor BlueTooth. Again, the reply was immediate, and we went back and forth before reaching the conclusion that the device was defective (I was worried it was a compatibility issue with an old BlueTooth 4 device, but that was not the issue). I asked desertcart for a replacement which arrived promptly and is working perfectly. So overall, although I had some issues, the customer support was outstanding and solved all of them. As for the device, it does what it says it does, and well. As for the worries indicated in another review: I agree, the documentation could be better and more clear, but it is clear enough. As for the app not being on Google Play, I believe the app is an example, not a commercial application. This is a sensor to be used in custom solutions/applications, the software is just to show its capabilities. But it is not spyware not does it contain viruses (I have a very strong protection system with 3 different scanners and no one found anything). Actually, the code package downloaded from the company web site even includes firmware code and PCB layout, so actually it seems that rather than trying to steal the customer's intellectual property they are making their own available to their customers!
Review: I bought this for measuring angles: specifically for setting up woodworking machinery. The advertised 0.2 degree accuracy would not have been sufficient, but the precision of 0.01 degrees gave me enough hope to risk buying one, and I was not disappointed. Certainly the initial "out-of-the-box" accuracy is not high - I am not sure if it was even within 0.2 degrees. However, you can zero the angle reference to the current plane, and for the next few minutes (maybe a bit longer) you get 0.01 degree accuracy before the readings start to drift. You can test this easily by mounting the WT901BLECL on a straight edge, zeroing, and then inserting a piece of paper under one end of the straight edge. The WT901BLECL is both accurate and repeatable (+/- 0.01 degrees) short-term. My main criticism would have to be the plastic shell, which does not even have a very flat surface on its bottom, let alone perpendicular sides! The first thing you need to do is to mount it on something flat. Battery life is excellent - one charge kept it running for a full day of measurements. Compared to self-contained angle measuring devices (ones with inbuilt displays) it is very nice to be able to have the display somewhere easy to read while the sensor is in some awkward position. Machinist's levels can do better than 0.001 degrees, but at 0.01 degrees I am starting to see variations in the flatness of my "machined flat" cast iron table, so for me the benefit of higher precision would be minimal. Being battery-powered, small and light means I can mount it next to the spindle motor on my CNC router and check how the angles vary as the spindle moves around (x, y and z). Note: I would not trust this to measure a 90-degree angle; instead, keep the WT901BLECL horizontal and mount it on an accurate square if you need to measure a vertical. The WT901BLECL can be used to compare two vertical surfaces within 0.01 degrees, or to compare two horizontal surfaces within 0.01 degrees, but going between a horizontal surface and a vertical surface even short-term probably gives you closer to the specified 0.2 degree accuracy. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

A: The WT901BLECL IMU sensor can measure and output 3-axis acceleration, angle raw data and it cannot measure the displacement. It will require a formula converting raw data to vibration data. Recommended vibration sensor: B0C6KBSCLH.

A: The X, Y-axis angle accuracy of WT901BLECL is 0.02deg, if you need a higher level of accuracy, please find HWT905 sensor with 0.05deg accuracy, B07G21XRV6 for purchase.

I had problems with the first unit I purchased. I followed the manual provided but I could not get it to work. Also, the software on the company website included source code examples for Windows but only the compiled apps for android, not source code examples. This is a small and light device. The documentation provided with the device and available on-line is excellent. I am in dispute with the manufacturer of a new car that I recently leased. There is obvious vibration which I wanted to measure. This device was perfect for obtaining saw-tooth plots in 3 main axes, and demonstrating that the car has a significant vibration problem (which the manufacturer had refused to accept). The Bluetooth allows the signals to be transmitted to a smart-phone (Android or i-phone) app. This was perfect as I was able to attach the device to the steering wheel (and other parts of the car), which would not have been possible without the wireless connection (wired to keep the battery charged also works). The i-phone GUI also worked well with Start and Stop buttons for recording when I was driving on a smooth road surface. The graphs were displayed in real-time (and also recorded on the phone for later analysis). The app has an aircraft style attitude and heading display. The on-off switch allowed easy control when the device was needed.
