But, the end of the cable wouldn't go far enough into the adapter to make the connection. I didn't return the cable because shipping would cost too much, and I was tired of the whole project. I did call Griffin Technology, the company that makes the cable, and I was told that they had not made the device for a long time. Maybe the thing will work with older iMacs?
