By securing a smartphone or tablet in the spring-loaded clamp, users can position their device's camera over documents, books, or objects to facilitate hands-free demonstrations and digital sharing. Mechanical Specifications and Adjustability The stand features a telescoping neck that adjusts from 12 3/4" to 23" in height. The mounting bracket is engineered to tilt and swivel, providing a 90-degree rotation that supports both portrait and landscape orientations. This flexibility allows for precise framing of materials on a tabletop. The spring-loaded clamp is compatible with a wide range of devices, including standard iPads and smartphones, ensuring a secure grip during use. Stability and Permanent Mounting Options Constructed with a metal frame, the DCS5 is designed for stability on flat surfaces. For high-traffic environments or permanent workstations, the base is equipped with mounting holes, allowing the unit to be bolted directly to a desk or table (mounting hardware not included). The design ensures that the device remains steady while the user interacts with the materials being captured. Integrated Functionality This stand is designed to work with standard camera and video conferencing applications. It includes a dedicated holder for headphones or cables to maintain an organized workspace. The open-access design of the mounting bracket ensures that charging ports and headphone jacks remain accessible, allowing for continuous power during long sessions. ## Features - UNIVERSAL DEVICE COMPATIBILITY – Features a spring-loaded clamp that holds all versions of iPad (excluding 12.9" iPad Pro) and various smartphones. There are two brackets to support either larger devices or phones, please check you device size before ordering. Tablet bracket will hold devices as small as 7.75"(19.7 cm) x 9.25" (23.2 cm) and as large as 9.25" (23.5 cm) x 10.5" (26.7 cm) Phone bracket will hold devices as small as 2" (5 cm) wide and as large as 3.38" (8.6 cm) wide. We hope this helps. Regards S4SUSA **Q: Does this come with an iPad cable adapter?** A: It is just the stand and the green hook for headphones... no cables **Q: Does this work as a stand to hold the I pad camera when needing to take photos of documents ?** A: I use my Copernicus for both ipad and phone. Its adaptable for both. I’ve found that it works best to use a large sheet of white paper abutted against the stand in order to eliminate extraneous background. You may have to adjust your photo size to eliminate all distracting background. As with all copystands, you may need adjust focus, image size and have a couple of external light sources to eliminate unwanted shadows. I’ve been very satisfied with mine. ## Frequently Bought Together - Copernicus Height Adjustable Dewey the Document Camera Stand - SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1TB (up to 1050 MB/s read, 1,000MB/s write, NVMe SSD, USB-C, External Solid State Drive, IP65 rated for dust and water resistance, Updated Firmware) Black - SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-II USB-C Card Reader --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/74970294-copernicus-dewey-the-document-camera-stand-for-smartphones-and-ipads](https://www.desertcart.in/products/74970294-copernicus-dewey-the-document-camera-stand-for-smartphones-and-ipads) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
