When the water is boiling, add the rice and if necessary, allow the water to return to the boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and set a timer for 30 minutes. At this point DO NOT cover the pan with the lid. Allow the rice to boil until the timer goes off. Turn off the heat and then dump the boiled rice into the strainer to drain. The rice should be hot and damp. Return the rice to the hot pan and cover with the lid. Allow the rice 15 to 20 minutes to steam. Then fluff with a spoon or fork and its ready to serve. I've found this method of cooking brown rice to consistently produce fluffy rice. Definitely superior to the brown rice I used to cook in my expensive computerized Japanese rice cooker! I’ve tried many different brands and Dynasty is clean and nutty tasting. I rinse it 3 times and cook it in my rice cooker and that’s it! One thing I’ve learned is to cut down on the amount of water called for by quite at lot. It took me around 3 attempts to figure this out in my cooker.
