3 tier approach to resolving obstacles
The basis for the book is to set out a way to solve impediments, blockages, obstructions, impasse that pop up at every other step of life, in various shapes and sizes. Author looks at it from 3 levels - 1) Mind (perceiving a problem), 2) Body (Acting on solving) 3) Soul (Willpower and sustaining effort) Many examples are laid out, and throughout, we are trained to see an obstacle for it it is, rather than what we think or wish for it to be. Author has presented a wide range of possible options on how to tackle it. Then It's upto the reader to analyze what they are dealing with, which strategy would be wisest to apply and also how much time and energy to invest in moving an obstacle. Practical and resourceful book - Refer when certain lives, times or karmas entail solving obstructions at every step of the way and still sustain the energy to be graceful and kind.

When you face an Obstacle, build a Tunnel through it because 'The Obstacle is the Way'
I had read somewhere that 'when you change the way you look at things, the way that thing appears, changes.' This book opens up your perspective to look at obstacles of your life in a totally new light. The book inspires you to turn over all your unexpected problems, unfortunate situations, and ask yourself - 'what if it wasn't so bad?' When you are moving forward and encounter something stand in front of your way, instead of doing nothing use it as a turbo fuel to accelerate. Tell yourself - I can make this good! It's not that people who have created history have not faced obstacles. Instead, they not only did expect obstacles in their lives but also embraced it. Because they knew that obstacles are actually opportunities to test ourselves, to experiment with new ideas and ultimately to triumph in their endeavor. Your obstacles can delay your triumph, but it's not dead end. Your obstacles are the way! The chapters of the book are very short but are packed with anecdotes and stories of failures, overcoming obstacles and some simple actionable that you can start doing instantly. Don't be in a hurry to tick off the book from your reading list. Read the book again and again, take notes, annotate, implement in your daily routine. If you are working on a new project, a difficult assignment and are facing roadblocks, carry this small book with you. When ever you get bogged down with difficulties, just go to a chapter and read it. I am confident that a bulb will lightup inside you and you will get a totally novel perspective to attack your obstacles. You will tealize that - what was blocking your path has now become the path.

Implementing Stoicism
Author distils advice from the stoics of the Roman period into easily implementable lessons for the common people. Filled with vignettes from the life of famous people, who under adversity never gave up and achieved success by implementing different important attributes in their daily life, the book builds each chapter around at least one story from these people’s life. He divides his book into three major sections; Perception, Action and Will. His main theses are that we should be calm in a crisis and force ourselves to evaluate the situation as it really is instead of going ballistic about it (Perception). Then we should direct our actions to the proper channel (Action). Finally, we have to cultivate our internal power to face the obstacles in front of us and have the resolve to accept negative consequences with equanimity (Will). Through such focus we will be able to “turn every obstacle into an advantage.” Though these methods are simple but they are not easy to implement.

Recomendado
Muy buen libro sobre estoicismo y cómo afrontar los obstaculos en el día a día. Escrito muy bien y en capítulos cortos que no se extienden innecesariamente.

A very inspiring book nicely written!
The book "The Obstacle is the Way" by Ryan Holiday is very inspiring and nicely written, such as "Ego is the Enemy", which I read before, and both are worth the time spent to enjoy them. My suggestion is to read both books slowly, say, about a chapter each time. While reading "The Obstacle is the Way", I would constantly recall a Nietzsche's saying (not mentioned by Ryan Holiday in his books) that conveys the idea: "What does not kill me makes me stronger".

Not bad.
But (way) better is to actually read the books, author is basing on.
