They tell me the sound quality is quite good (very clear, no hissing, skipping, crackling, etc.). I'm not sure why one reviewer said you'd need a separate mic. You can zoom in to about 60 degrees using the Logi Tune software (free download). **Q: This webcam can work for camtasia 8 to recording screen with Windows 7, 32 bit ?** A: Camtasia 8 does NOT need a camera, it is capable of recording the screen directly. **Q: Will this work for an old dell desktop?** A: Works well with my old Dell, good picture and sound.
