I think the bread keeper would be better without this feature as I seldom use it. The knob that turns this vent does not lock and so it tends to move on its own whenever you handle the bread keeper. It seems to be open when I don't want it opened a lot. **Q: Does anyone have trouble with the top warping and not sealing properly** A: After 4 years of use this crisper is the best I have ever had. Yes mine did warp when I placed it in the dishwasher. Had to work to get it on. But after awhile it became easier. The top lid now shows signs of cracking. Ordered a new criper lids comes on and off much easier. The lids won't be going in the dishwasher. **Q: what is the size ?** A: It's about 12" long, 7" wide and 6" high.
