This is not high quality coffee. That said, anyone expecting high quality at this price point is delusional. But having given it a go I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The coffee keeps and grinds well, even for espresso. The beans give a good crema consistently. The flavour is a little dull and earthy and doesn’t have any real character other than murky but it’s fine for everyday drinking. Missing some of the finer characteristics you might get from say Costa or Illy, this coffee is still a good few notches above the likes of percol or Lyons that you can now pick up in bargain stores. It’s worth considering that this is likely to be the polar opposite of fair trade coffee so if ethics come into your consideration when buying coffee, probably best to steer clear of this. I can’t even find a country of origin listed so it’s likely a blend of all things unworthy of a brand label. That said, if you eat fast food, you can’t pull the ethics card out on your coffee habits. In terms of value, this is its USP. As you can see in the pics, I’m about a third of the way through the 2kg, grinding in small batches to feed a four to six double-shots a day habit. I’m delighted to have fresh ground coffee on hand without the concern of running out within the week. Planning to supplement with the occasional tin of Illy but while that’s usually close to £5 for 250g there’s no contest in my mind and I can’t claim to have taste buds so sophisticated that they won’t drink this. Bottom line, give it a go and if you don’t mind a ‘standard’ fresh ground coffee, you’ve found a winner! Hey, it beats instant!

For the price point these are pretty good beans! Personally I have mine as a latte with vanilla syrup so the beans don’t need to be full of flavour and the coffee tastes nice. Not sure if it would be different if having with straight hot water. Happy with the product though and would buy again.

Let me say from the outset, I had a low expectation of coffee brewing with these beans, purely based upon previous experiences with extremely low cost products. Well how wrong was I. I won’t go into the provenance of the beans or explore the Amazon own brand story which is covered elsewhere in the description. I want to concentrate on my experiences with the beans and how I have enjoyed the drinks I have made with them. If you read the reviews some have commented that the beans will not be suitable for espresso drinkers. I can say, as just such a consumer, this is not the case. They make a lovely drink, rich in crema espresa and of a lovely flavour that lingers in the mouth. Maybe it helps that I’m using prosumer equipment but I moved on to trying V60 pour over method. This produces an altogether smoother drink, very clean tasting but full of flavour once again. I thought that this might be the best way of using the beans until I tried using my AeroPress. With a slightly finer grind than for V 60, I thought I’d hit the jackpot. A beautiful cup of black coffee, hard to beat and at this price an absolutely superb bargain. For the milk drinkers out there, I took one for the team and made a variety of milk based (or pollutant inclusive) drinks all with equally fine results. I wii certainly purchase again.

Been buying this for over a year now and even though it gone up a price its still good value and works really well in my bean to cup machine , taste good both in espresso and milk coffees.

Ok value, but a bit weak on flavour

These are my ‘go to’ beans now; they’re medium strength, great tasting and I’ve never had a bad experience with them.

I found this to be a pleasant tasting coffee. Not too bitter and not unduly strong. Suits me for my morning latte and occasional espresso.

For the price it's a top choice. Good crema and even better aroma. Comes with a solid kick. If you are looking for a reliable daily cup this is the way to go! It might not be as complex as the 50eur per kg ones but for the average consumer it's perfect. Delivery was great too, 24h really quick.

Ich habe die # by Amazon Kaffeebohnen, mittlere Röstung, 100% Arabica, Amaretto ausprobiert und bin absolut begeistert. Schon beim Öffnen der Packung steigt einem ein angenehmer Duft entgegen, der sofort Lust auf die erste Tasse macht. Die Bohnen sind gleichmäßig geröstet und haben eine schöne, mittlere Farbe. Beim Mahlen verströmen sie ein intensives Aroma, das später in der Tasse perfekt zur Geltung kommt. Der Geschmack ist ausgewogen: vollmundig, angenehm weich und mit einer feinen Amaretto-Note, die sich dezent im Hintergrund hält – nicht künstlich oder aufdringlich, sondern harmonisch und edel. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass die Packung im Doppelpack (2 × 1 kg) geliefert wird. Das ist praktisch und preislich absolut fair. Durch die wiederverschließbaren Beutel bleibt das Aroma lange frisch. Ob als Espresso, Cappuccino oder Latte Macchiato – die Bohnen liefern konstant hervorragende Ergebnisse. Freunde und Familie waren beim Probieren ebenfalls begeistert. Fazit: Wer aromatischen Kaffee mit einer besonderen Note sucht, wird hier definitiv fündig. Over the past few months, I have been trying various different Amazon brand Coffee beans and these rainforest alliance cert 100% Arabica, Medium Roast beans are delicious. I used my Melitta coffee grinder at lvl08 and put 4 scoops of coffee into my Melitta 1025-18 Look V (also bought on Amazon). It makes a great filter drip coffee with a lovely round balanced taste with a hint of chocolate notes within a sweet nuttiness which is low in acid and has no bitterness. 2kg of great coffee for less than €28 ! Will be definitely be buying more.

Wir hatten vorher immer teuren Marken Kaffee. Da ich bei diesem aber mittlerweile über 20 € pro Kilo zahle, wollten wir diesen Kaffee mal testen. Wir nutzen ihn nun als täglichen Kaffee. Er schmeckt ganz gut und ist eben deutlich günstiger. Insgesamt würde ich den Kaffee empfehlen, auch wenn ich für besondere Anlässe noch einen anderen Kaffee zu Hause haben würde.
