What can I it's a Excellent dash cam with impressive features! I’ve been using the Baseus VD1 Pro for a little while now, and I’m really impressed. The 4K front camera is incredibly sharp, and the 1080P rear camera gives great coverage. Daytime footage is crystal clear, and the STARVIS night vision does an excellent job in low-light conditions. One of my favorite features is the battery-powered parking mode. I didn’t have to hardwire it into my car, which made installation much easier. The built-in GPS, fast 5GHz Wi-Fi, and voice control are all convenient, and transferring videos to my phone is quick and simple. The included 32GB memory card was a nice bonus, so I could start using it right out of the box. The Box was well packaged i haven't seen that in a while on Amazon i was so impress. Overall, this dash cam offers premium features at a great value. If you’re looking for a reliable front and rear dash cam with excellent video quality and easy setup, I highly recommend it! What a dumb design I was hoping this camera does not need wire but it need them while driving. let me explain the camera is solar but it only uses the solar panel if the car is parked and it will only rec while driving unless you connect the camera to the electric charge panel. ... WHAT?! I thought this camera will always record since its expose to sunlight and has a battery but NO, in order to turn on the device you have to charge the freaking thing just to turn it on, if the camera is not connected with something to charge the stupid thing turns says BATTERY POWERED and turns off. WHAT WHY?! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF BATTERIES. The camera also need internet connection to view any videos so you have to download an app and paid subscription, thankfully you don't need the subscription but I already dislike the idea of downloading an app and have paid subscription in my face just to find any rec videos. Also prey that the video file are not corrupted. because this happened to me twice The final straw was the camera overheating and will refuse to record anything and turns off. in my mind is the CAR WILL ALWAYS BE HOT INSIDE EVEN IF I PARK IT IN A SHADE OR GIVE IT SUN BLOCK. This camera is piece of junk it fooled me thinking it will work fine by its own since it has a solar panel but its brought down with poor designs a need for a cable like any other dash camera and chance of video being corrupted or overheat and turns off. avoid this camera and look for something else.

I’ve gone through a large amount of dash cams over the years and most of them either have garbage apps, potato-quality night footage, or they turn your windshield into a science project with wires everywhere. This one actually feels thought out. First off, the video quality is legit. Daytime footage is super sharp and at night it’s WAY better than I expected. You can actually read plates instead of getting blurry glowing blobs. The STARVIS night vision sensor definitely makes a difference. I also really like how clean the setup looks. It hides nicely behind the mirror and doesn’t scream “hey look at my dash cam” every time you get in the car. The app connected fast, downloading footage over the 5GHz WiFi is surprisingly quick, and GPS data is a nice bonus. Rear camera quality is solid too. The solar/battery parking mode was honestly the feature that sold me. Being able to have parking protection without hardwiring a bunch of crap into the car is awesome. Huge plus there. Overall this thing feels way more premium than the price suggests. Baseus kinda killed it with this one!

Additionally, there aren't many YouTube reviews available at this time, which added to my uncertainty. I recently installed this dashcam in my 2019 Volvo XC90, and I’m really impressed with it. Its compact design prevents any blind spots, and the voice command feature is a fantastic addition, allowing me to capture photos or save videos hands-free—especially useful given the unpredictable driving conditions in Colorado. I had a Class 10 128GB SD card that didn’t work with my previous dashcam, the Crosstour CR900, but thankfully, it functions perfectly with this one, and formatting the card was straightforward. As for the installation process, I found it quite easy since this is my third camera and fourth installation. I recommend taking your time to hide the wires properly, as it makes for a much cleaner look. I plan to install my other dashcam in my work vehicle soon. The effectiveness of the solar panel remains to be seen, but the app is user-friendly, requiring a quick login to the camera's Wi-Fi. The main unit's controls are intuitive, so I likely won’t need to rely on the app often, and I appreciate the ability to view live footage similar to the RING app. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have a large SUV, the rear camera cord may be too short, necessitating an extension adapter, which I found on Amazon and worked perfectly for my needs. Overall, I highly recommend this dashcam if you prefer not to deal with hardwiring for the parking monitor feature, as it offers the same convenience as my Crosstour CR900 with extra feature. I inquired with the seller about the cord for the rear camera to clarify its type, but the response I received was not very helpful, prompting me to lower my review by a star. The seller simply suggested I "look at the pics," which I had already done prior to my question. Fortunately, I have enough technical knowledge to locate the appropriate extension cord for the rear camera. It's a great camera. There does need to be a few tweaks to the parking mode and the app. The parking mode is very sensitive and is set off by just opening and closing the door. The app really needs to allow the viewing of the camera feed without having to login into the Wi-Fi on the app. Outside of those two things. This is an excellent dash cam! Also the company responded to my review due to the pour customer service that I initially received. The rep apologized for the issue which I really appreciate. Companies nowadays don't care about their customers anymore. I'm glad that they cared enough to make it right!

Overall this dash cam is a good product. Build quality feels solid and installation was very easy. I also like that it doesn’t require wiring directly to the car battery, and the parking mode work perfectly. The front camera works well. Daytime video quality is very good, and at night it’s decent. With good lighting it can capture nearby details, but things farther away can look a bit distorted, which is expected. The main issue is the rear camera. During the day it looks noticeably darker than the front camera. It’s still usable, but the difference is obvious. At night it’s the real problem — unless there’s direct light from another car or a lamp, it’s basically too dark to see much. Most of the time the rear camera is almost useless at night. Not sure if my unit is defective or if they’re all like this. And Also my unit come with no SD card When the box says its included, I need to use one that i have at home.
