Easy to use and great for Cryptocornes and Echinodorus. Shame the price keeps increasing.

Unlike what they state saying that these don’t affect the fish. They do. I’d only use them in no fish aquariums.

These are truly awful root tabs. I recently moved house and of course in the process had to break down all my fish tanks - five different tanks all with plants. Having used quite a few different root tabs over the last two or three years since the tanks were set up, the only ones that had not dissolved at all were easily recognisable as these Crypto ones. Some had been under sand or gravel for over a year and still retained their original shape, whether whole, halved or quartered. Definitely explains why I had to replace a bunch of largely root feeding plants a few months back - they must have starved to death! In other words this product didn't just not work as advertised, it also cost me quite a lot of money in plants. Being relatively new to planted tanks at the time I thought I could trust a well established brand like Tetra - I've learned since that most experienced fish keepers wouldn't dream of using many of their products. Since then I've learned how to make my own DIY root tabs and my plants are thriving - but isn't it sad that a bloke with less than two years experience can do a better job than an international company like Tetra?
