## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐ worked great at first
*by G***Y on September 9, 2014*

worked great at first...however the screen went all crazy after tablet took a book was knocked against it...too fragile without a proper cover for it. Too bad I was really enjoying it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good so far -now with Amazon Music with Prime Music (Amazon's bad?)
*by E***P on June 28, 2014*

Revised (in December 2014)At some point in the last few months, Amazon updated its music app so I now have Amazon Prime Music on this way sub-$100 tablet.Tablet prices keep dropping but I'm still getting reasonable use out of this particular 'DOPO' tablet (after a few serious crashes and needing to do at least one 'hard' - volume and power button combination - reboot to factory settings at least once; Google it).I wouldn't save anything you can't replace on this tablet or rely on it for work - but for entertainment, I'm set.Okay for reading news (Guardian - free), learning foreign languages (duolingo - free), checking and responding to email, Skype voice calls (video is low quality but does work), Netflix, public library ebooks, YouTube etc depending on your internet speed. Has survived and enlivened (with offline content) a major bus journey of several days in the US.With a micro usb-to-usb adaptor, USB accessories including a keyboard and a mouse can be plugged into the tablet to make an awkward and limited laptop of sorts. The tablet can also be charged (slowly) through the micro usb adaptor.Great introduction to low-end tablets for me. And I FINALLY have the benefit of Amazon Prime music on it.Revised (in June 2014):Please note that this tablet currently does not appear compatible with the app Amazon Music with Prime Music (although the tablet is running a version of Android 4.1.1). I spent time with Amazon customer service alerting them to this issue (as I bought the tablet based on the specs and Amazon's indication that tablets with Android 4.0 and higher could utilize this particular app). When I purchased the tablet (last week), it shipped with Amazon Prime. The tablet currently defaults to Amazon MP3 (what I was listening to in my review below) when attempting to download the new Amazon Music with Prime Music app.The Amazon MP3 app plays purchased music but does not recognize the music / albums recently added to Prime membership.Amazon customer service indicated that their developers are working to remedy this issue and make the new Amazon Music app work on this particular tablet, but nothing yet . . .Original:This sub-$65 tablet makes me feel part of the tablet crowd without blowing the budget. I've had it for a day and intend to use it primarily as an indoor e-reader (with kindle app, etc), Amazon Prime music player(!), web surfer, and learning apps machine as well as to familiarize myself with an Android operating environment. Out-of-the-box, it seems to be working well for these purposes . . .and I am also surprised by the quality of Netflix videos on this machine with our particular wifi speed.I barely get to touch the Ipad2 I bought a few years ago for 'us', and I like the feel of this machine better for e-reading or personal viewing (primarily due to the 9 inch screen). It does feel a little cheap to the touch . . . particularly the plastic backplate, and my better-half commented about the screen resolution . . . but for $65, I'm surprised it even works :). The touch screen seems to get more responsive with use. With headphones (not provided), Ray Price (Night Life) and Cannonball Adderely (Cannonball's Bossa Nova) sound beautiful through it (thank you, Amazon Prime), and having this tablet frees up my other 'cheapo' technology for its purposes. The front facing camera is 'meh' at best, but I'm not a video chatter / skype video caller.I'll update if / when I pass the magic four month time frame and as I discover other uses for it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A decent tablet, but...
*by M***O on December 27, 2014*

I have had this tablet for quite a while now and really don't have many complaints. It has worked well and has had few problems, one of which is that with the wifi on it really sucks down the battery. Really, it will kill it in a few hours! I bought this to replace my old iPad (1st gen) which runs slow as dirt these days, and it didn't disappoint. It really doesn't feel like the processors are running very strong though and can on occasion bog down but still smoother and more reliable than my iPad, but it was strong enough to run some of my favorite games (Galaxy on Fire 2). It does have a gyro in it too but it's not much good for gaming (not very accurate). The screen on the other hand is mediocre at best. The image quality is some what low and reading ebooks with small fonts is not recommended. The backlighting seems to only be on one or two side and causes the screen to have a fade to it. Also due to it's super slim design there is a spot in the back that if I touch or hold near it pushes against the screen. So, the pro's and cons:Pros:-Cheap-Decently powerful for the price-Reliable-Modern(ish) android OS-Perfect screen size (for me)-Light weight-Can run graphic heavy gamesCons:-Not very durable-No bluetooth-Not very powerful-Not easily Rooted-Poor screen/image quality-Gyro sensor is no good for gaming
