Yes, I could use super glue but it can do damage to the splint and the your skin. This little bottle can last a lifetime for this sort of thing. For taping ankles and the like, I would get a spray form of this to do prep. It's rosin dissolved in isopropanol. The smell is not so great, but the product does the job. It helps the sensor of my Dexcom G6 and over-patch stay in place. It does not peel off as easily, even if I swim on the beach or in the jacuzzi. I love it so much that I will be ordering more soon. Another thing: it lasts a very long time.
