Review: Works Fine With Windows & Linux Devices Thruough My KVM Switch - I bought this to replace a failed USB to PS/2 adapter I'd had for ages. I was aware that not all splitters work with some kit and can be problematic with KVM switches too so I was a little apprehensive when I bought this having done quite a bit of searching on desertcart to pick what I hoped would work ok without paying silly money. Thankfully it turned out to be a good buy and so far it has worked with every piece of kit I've tried using with it so far running different Operating Systems - Windows 10 / 11 and Linux - all through an aging PS/2 with VGA KVM switch. The USB 'A' connecting plug is larger than a standard USB plug in order for it to contain the required circuitry to enable it to function correctly and do the conversion from USB to PS/2. However it is not huge and only protrudes a but further out from whichever USB 'A' port used compared to an ordginairy connector. The two cables connecting the female PS/2 connectors are around 8cm long to gives enough flexibility to distance them away from the the connnected device. Overall a very well made neat little splitter that seems to do the job well for a reasonable price.

**Q: Is this an active or passive converter?**
A: It's active. It converts ps2 keyboard into a direct USB keyboard.  I used it with a noppoo choc mini mechanical keyboard on mac turning the keyboard into ps2 then back to USB with this adapter.

Have a very nice 20+ year old Microsoft Internet keyboard with numerous function buttons. Play, next track, volume etc. However it seems nothing like it is available now? So using this adapter, I have connected this old ps2 keyboard to a new pc and everything works perfectly. It was a new pc build, so keyboard has to work without loading drivers etc. And it did! it just works. Fantastic.
