It comes with 2 pumps. 1 that is inside the filter box. And 1 for your ATO reservoir that adds water to the tank. **Q: How many gallons is for?** A: It can work for anything from 5 gallons up to about 90 gallons. **Q: Will this work on a 125 gallon** A: It would work fine to top of a 125g. But the "sump" section which holds the media may be to small for a 125g depending on your bio load and media needs. I have mine on a 30g system and replace media every 4 weeks. **Q: will this work on a rimmed tank?** A: Yes. It will work on rimmed tanks. The water level will be about 5/8" from the rim. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Before you send this back read the instructions! *by C***S on March 2, 2019* Before you send this back read the instructions!I read a lot of reviews that state this problem comes up with the alarm going off. In the beginning this is true. Basically to explain what is going on this is a smart auto top off device. Me like most other people when I got this product I was constantly moving it around because I wanted that perfect spot in my tank. What I did not understand was with doing this I was messing with the auto top off feature. So the alarm was going off every time I tried to fill. Here are the steps you need to do to ensure that this product works correctly. Once you get the device set in a spot that you like and you are not going to touch it anymore unplug the power cord from it for five minutes. Plug it back in and let it go you should be fine. On a sidenote if you plug this device back in and it starts filling right away wait until it fills and unplug it again. Once you plug it back in and it does not fill the tank right away the settings are all reset and it will time the initial fill up and remember that. The device does this to protect your equipment from overfill. I would recommend this product to anybody who is new once you get the device set in a spot that you like and you’re not going to touch it anymore unplug the power cord from it for five minutes. Or anybody who does not have a sump underneath their tank. ### ⭐⭐ Causes new problems and needs modifications *by K***2 on September 21, 2021* This sumpless ATO ignores K.I.S.S. and suffers for it. The overflow blows way too hard for my 40B saltwater LPS tank. It doesn't give you a directional nozzle or the option to add one yourself at all. I really didn't need an extra powerhead I can't control with my ATO. This thing is meant for smaller tanks that don't have sumps, it's ridiculous how strong the flow is. I just needed protection from snails and stuff. There a few pros I'll go over but, mostly cons. Most of the Pros only come into play after modifications. However, the ATO itself, not including the overflow, does work and I might just end up using it independently. This will be one pricy ATO if that what happens, I will update. All of the cons regard the overflow and ultimately depending on it for the ATO being sumpless.Pros: If you seal the giant hole in the back, throw away the giant rubber block they claim is media, and use your own media, you have a decent, oversize surface skimmer.-The ATO works as advertisedCons: Ridiculously strong powerhead I can't adjust. Seriously, don't add this to something 40g or below unless you're doing SPS coral and don't care.- You have to modify it to get it to work.- There's a giant hole in the back that needs to be sealed or the overflow just pulls from behind it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still going great *by B***T on June 29, 2024* Purchased this unit almost 2 years ago. Only problem I have had is with baby snails getting caught in the propeller. Keeps my water level stable. Great for my rimmed tank.
