It does NOT have any Lumination applied on any of the indices or numbers, so forget seeing the time in the dark. Period. There is NO snooze button to silence the alarm which is the standard beeping. There is no ascending alarm volume. What you hear is what you get. You have to physically pick it up and flip the back switch to deactivate the noise beeping. It is fairly loud, which is a plus. It does look pleasing and eye catching, with big numbers and Square Arms as opposed to Baton Arms. Too bad Newgate did not think to apply Lume to see in the dark. The clock is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE ( $125.05 plus federal taxes to ship to Kingston Ontario, presents with a nice price tag of $141 plus Dollars!! ). Too expensive for what you get. SERIOUSLY SPEAKING PEOPLE. I should have done my research and homework prior to this purchase. I am going to keep it as I do like the aesthetics of the Vintage/Retro look and too much hassle to return. If Newgate reads this review, then make future Wideboy Clocks better ( meaning materials other then plastic with Aluminum or Brushed Metal ) and include the snooze feature, plus Lume to justify the astronomical price. I bought it for myself but it was instantly swiped away by my teen. It is so cool looking. Very simple and sleek. We got the orange color. Although it is plastic it still seems like a great quality clock. I bought 4 different alarm clocks so that I could hear the alarm and see if I liked it. This has a pleasant beep - not waking you up in a panic! This is easy to use and easy to set the alarm.
