I bought it to clean my grout but was very disappointed and how cheap it seemed. I returned it. **Q: What kind of plug does this have** A: Please don't waste your money on this..DON'T DO THE JOB AT ALL..THIS IS B/S its like a childs toy.. **Q: Does the machine sucks up the dirty water as it scrubs?** A: No. You spray the cleaner on the floor and use the machine to scrub or polish. If you use the buffer pads over the brushes, they will absorb some of the moisture. I find this is the best machine I've owned for getting the floors really clean. I vacuum first then I spray some wood cleaning liquid or tile cleaner and sometimes, I dab it dry with a rag. Great for home/apartment use. Easy to manoeuvre and easy to store. Worked very well on tiles and linoleum tiles. Different pads are used for different jobs. Does a good job on everything from stripping floors to the final polish. Pretty solid construction and easy to handle while in use, light weight for carrying easy to store. Have some minor concern when changing the heads of brushes they are made of a strong durable plastic, so far no issue but time will tell.
