My review of this Zippo Lighter Insert is from an Amazon purchase I made on August 17, 2025, so I've had this now for a year. This is the very best Butane Lighter I've ever owned, and I've had some fairly expensive fancy pocket lighters over the years, Colibri, etc. Honestly some were so poor, it wasn't long they'd all eventually go bad, a mere month or so, wouldn't hold Butane, just real garbage, they'd get thrown in a Dresser Drawer, sit there for literal years forgetting about them, and then eventually throw them away. The heat produced from 2 Torch Type Burners is very hot, you might be able to solder with it, and yes, you have to be careful with these types. This lighter will burn you, and I have a few times accidentally. It fit into my old Zippo Wick Lighter's Case positively, not too loose or tight, thus not difficult to remove. Zippo got this right. As for adjustment of flame height, I've found when trying to adjust to a minimum-low setting, you can only go so low with the Flame Height, then if adjusting too low, the lighter will then not predictably light, or even light as all after numerous attempts. At the lowest setting I can achieve, I would say the visible blue flame is about 5/8", or perhaps 16mm. tall. But be careful, the heat this lighter produces extends beyond what you visibly see. That you could hold a Cigarette or Cigar an inch or so higher, and will still light such. I've found that intervals between re-filling it properly, and fully, the length of use before empty is pretty impressive I thought, And I can fill this lighter, let it sit for a long period of time. And does not let butane leak out and then find yourself with a dead lighter. Filling can be tricky I've found, and I might be inclined to say that the Zippo Refill Cans might be a safe bet and be compatible with this Lighter. That some other brands I have tried have been either difficult to use by not properly sealing with a lot of fuel being wasted, or they wouldn't work at all, and found with some no name brands, or Ronson refill tanks I've bought, you should find those which comes with a variety of various tips. Then find the one that will work. Overall I've been happy with this product. It seems like it is lasting well and not become defective in any way.

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the other reviews which mentioned it malfunctioned. However, so far this has lit Everytime I pressed the button. I love this for cigars because this doesn't leave the standard Zippo fuel smell behind and it quickly lights cigars evenly. For cigs, you should make sure to light it upright vs. pointing it inward towards your face because the flame is longer than it looks and the heat doesn't stop at the blue area. From a safety standpoint, this is important because those flames are hot. I have had it light every time I press the button. I use a canister of butane to refill it. The only thing I don't love about this is Zippos are small and butane depletes quickly, so after 8 or 10 cigars, I have to make sure to refill this. There is no real leakage from when it's not being used, however I would like an indicator window, even if it means sliding the inset out, in order to check how much fuel is left before needing to refill. Standard Zippo fuel inserts generally last a little longer before a refill is needed. The color of this is silver. I would like a gold/brass color or even black ... however, your only choices are gold and, oddly, blue. It feels solid and high quality and is made of metal. I expect it to last a long time. Overall, wether a gift or for yourself, this really enhances a Zippo, especially for cigar smokers. Zippo lighters are so cool ... and I love that I can have their vintage style without needing to make my cigar taste like fuel or light unevenly. I highly recommend this as a cheap-ish upgrade to a standard Zippo insert. I hope my video, pictures and honest review, after actually using the product, were helpful to you.
