First off the base that sits on the bottom of the coffee pot that has the tube going up through the basket attached to it bent very easily in our dishwasher. I bent it back but can see it bending again somehow where eventually it will crack at the joint. Amazon provided no place for me to go to contact the vendor so tried the returns avenue and that was messed up and didnt suit my needs. We like the pot and cups but am concerned about the tube assembly where the tube is attached to the bottom disc. I would like to see if they would send me another one just in case. This item was pretty expensive for what it is so dont think we should have something like this happen and......amazon should have something to where I could contact whoever would be handling getting me just a small part to the item rather than having me send the whole thing back and wasting everyones time including mine. Just need another tube assembly and I would gladly give 5 stars. One other thing I forgot to add..........these are metal core cups and percolator covered with a hard coating. When you pour a cup of hot coffee, make sure you use an oven mitten or something like it. Also the handles on the cup get hot when hot coffee is poured into them. The lid on the coffee pot does not latch so use precaution and hold the lid down while pouring coffee especially the last of the coffee in the pot.UPDATEI called customer service about my concerns and they took care of us right away answering questions as well. custserv@columbianhp.comAnother update December 2nd 2019, we have been using the set for a few weeks now and really like it. Heats up much faster than and electric coffee pot and you can take it anywhere to cook on any heat source within reason. I was happy to see that the lid was attached - as it is very pretty. It is a percolator - though I have not used it as such. Nostalgia too makes it attractive - though my mother's was aqua in color and had a different shape. Probably would not have held as many utensils though. I dislike many of the "canister" utensil holders - they remind me of a "clinical look" of the cotton ball and cotton swab holders in doctor's offices - and they look too "sterile" and my kitchen is not the "white look" that some designers favor. My kitchen counter space is limited - so I like objects that are functional and beautiful. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good coffee, however *by C***J on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 14, 2020* Overall, I like it. It makes good coffee. I bought it primarily to make cowboy coffee (slowly boiling coffee in the pot for at least 5 minutes). It would be a 5 star review, save for the fact that the little plastic top doesn’t fit properly in the lid after about a week of use. I hand washed only and nothing looks warped, so I’m guessing the lid was just out of spec.
