Solid Recipes & Foundations
Just finished reading through the book and baking my first recipe. Great level of detail and information that is so important to know and understand, but rarely appears in other recipes. Highly recommend if you are a beginner or an intermediate baker looking to improve your foundations

Another Banger from Matt
Another AMAZING book from the legendary Matt Adlard. I've been a fan of Matt's recipes for many years. His first book, Bake it Better, has completely elevated by baking techniques. This book, The Science of Baking, is another insanely thorough masterpiece. Beautiful photos and drawings that go into a level of depth that most cookbooks simply skip over. However, don't let the depth fool you: this book is designed to transfer the most important knowledge and steps without a bunch of superfluous nonsense. Science in a fun way
This is my fourth "the Science of ..." book. I love the graphics and the factoids that make learning about science interesting. The book explained in detail how cooking is a science and how winging it might cause a different result than you are expectin.

Amazing book!
Fantastic and informative! I have always loved watching Mattโs videos - not just where he is showing the amazing parts but where he is also showing when things go wrong too and learning so much from them. This book is worth every penny. Filled with explanations and easy to follow instructions. The diagrams are clear with explanations for every step of the way. A must have book for anyone learning or wanting to advance their baking further. A load of recipes to try!
