Review: Nice tap wrench - Bought this to go along with my 7/16" 3 tap set I bought on here as well. It's nice to have this tap wrench, as the handle can be offset, so you can clear things that might be in the way on one side of where you are working (like up against a wall or something). Not only that, you'd have to work hard to put enough force on this to break a larger tap, unlike the tap handles that give you far more leverage. Even still, this tap handle was very easy to use, and didn't wear my hands out trying to get it through the frame I was working on. Tapped about 50 holes, and not once was there an issue with this. Nice also that it adjusts to the different tap sizes, so you don't need quite so many handles.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: would this work for a M12-1.25 x 35 mm tap?**
A: It will probably work.  It depends upon the particular tap.  I used mine for a 1/2" - 13 tap today and it worked.  1/2" is a larger diameter on the threaded end, than 12 mm. It all depends on the size of the driver end of the tap.

**Q: My largest extractor set goes up to 13/32, this t-handle states to go up to 1/2 inch which should fit 13/32 inch correct?**
A: In theory, yes, but in practice I could not get a 1/2 end in the one they sent me, not even close.  13/32 is pretty close to a half inch so I am not sure you can get that in.

**Q: Can this hold a 10 - 32 drill tap?**
A: No, holds tap sizes 1/4" to 1/2".

**Q: will this Irwin/Hanson 12002 tap wrench work with a 6mm Tap bit??**
A: It worked on my 6mm tap. So it should work for you. The range of size taps that will fit this is from 6.35mm to 12.7mm.

Bought this to go along with my 7/16" 3 tap set I bought on here as well. It's nice to have this tap wrench, as the handle can be offset, so you can clear things that might be in the way on one side of where you are working (like up against a wall or something). Not only that, you'd have to work hard to put enough force on this to break a larger tap, unlike the tap handles that give you far more leverage. Even still, this tap handle was very easy to use, and didn't wear my hands out trying to get it through the frame I was working on. Tapped about 50 holes, and not once was there an issue with this. Nice also that it adjusts to the different tap sizes, so you don't need quite so many handles.
